Family-friendly place. Don't go without a reservation. And don't get a table near the door. Get one at the back. Other than that, it's wonderful!!

I had spaghetti nerano and beef with aubergine, both were perfect. Most impressively, service was kind and friendly although I did not see them stand still for a second as the dining room kept them BUSY. Great little place.

Highly recommended. Great, lovingly prepared food, excellent service, and excellent value for money.

I love the decoration of the restaurant, feel so cozy and nostalgic. We order some pasta, risotto and seafood appetiser. The seafood is so fresh and cooked on point. Seafood pasta has very rich taste and flavourful, absolutely amazing. Risotto seasoning is right on spot, the texture is wonderful too. Best meal I ever had in Naples.

I just want to start by saying a huge thank for the warm hospitality and the kind, welcoming atmosphere. From the very first moment, I felt not like a guest, but like a friend who was truly cared for. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and prepared with so much love and attention to detail. But I must highlight one in particular — Paccheri al Baccalà. It wasn’t just food, it was a culinary discovery. The taste was so rich, so perfectly balanced, that I can honestly say I experienced pure gastronomic pleasure with every bite😍 This meal left me with unforgettable emotions! Thank you again for such an incredible experience🙏🏻

The food was okay, but not amazing. The grilled calamari, in particular, was a disappointment… the portions were quite small. We also wanted to share our dishes, but were met with confused looks and told that wasn't actually possible. Shortly afterward, we saw at the table next to us that it was possible.

En una ciudad famosa por excelentes restaurantes a precios razonables, Osteria la Carmela destaca entre los 6 restaurantes finos que hemos probado allí en 2024 y '25. Este no es un lugar que se gana sus muchas buenas críticas basadas en grandes habitaciones ventiladas y restaurantes al aire libre. Es una ostería de una habitación sin asientos al aire libre y menos de una docena de mesas. Pero todo sobre él es excelente - - el menú (especialmente platos de marisco) , la preparación de la comida, el vino de la casa, el servicio de bienvenida y los precios muy razonables. En el Carmela, me siento como si estuviera cenando en una acogedora casa privada napolitana, con al menos dos generaciones de cocineros familiares en la cocina. Este es un lugar especial, bien situado cerca de Vía Toledo y el famoso Museo Arqueológico Nacional. Espero tener la suerte de cenar allí una y otra vez.

Pensez à réserver. La salle est petite, l’ambiance feutrée mais le propriétaire gère le service à merveille. Si vous êtes amateur de vins et souhaitez voyager en dégustant votre assiette, cette adresse est pour vous. Les plats sont bons, le propriétaire sympathique et il parle français.
