Osteria Da Alberto is a fantastic place for classic Venetian seafood and was one of our favorite meals in Venice. We had the linguine with clams, linguine with prawns, the mixed seafood platter, whole fish with polenta, and cuttlefish with polenta—everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The seafood was fresh, simply prepared, and full of flavor, letting the quality of the ingredients really shine.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel relaxed and genuinely hospitable. If you’re looking for excellent traditional Venetian cooking in a warm, inviting setting, Osteria Da Alberto is absolutely worth a visit.

This restaurant in the Cannareggio district offers excellent food, a rich and delicious menu, friendly and helpful waiters and owner, and a welcoming and quaint location, just as an osteria demands. The kitchen closes at 9:00, and reservations are required if you'd like to sample traditional dishes (Venetian-style liver) or seafood (stewed calamari with polenta and Taggiasca olives). The price is reasonable for the amount consumed, making it a perfect value! The restaurant has two smaller rooms plus a couple of small tables at the entrance, in front of the counter. If you're offered these, don't hesitate to ask, as they're the most characteristic area of the osteria!

Excellent!! We were recommended by an Italian friend, without a doubt very successful. I had wonderful octopus for a first course, gnocchi with Gorgonzola, second course off the menu Stone sea bream and Angus beef with house sauce, spectacular, to finish a chocolate cake, something exquisite, the best place I have tried in Venice, and the price very good, the staff very professional and friendly, without a doubt highly recommended, thanks for the experience!!!

A typically Venetian tavern in its decor; the owner and all the staff have always been courteous and attentive to the needs of their guests.
The fish is good, well-cooked, and tender; the spaghetti with squid ink is excellent, as are the cod with polenta, the fried fish, and the octopus.
The wine selection isn't extensive; my only complaint is that when ordering wine by the glass, it would have been better if it had been served at the table rather than the waiter bringing two pre-filled glasses.

After our tour of Murano we went to this wonderful gem of a restaurant. The pasta vongole was the best we had in Venice. We highly recommend it, five stars!!
