Lunch today was excellent, as always, at Osteria dei Briganti, in the heart of Gallipoli's historic center. A wide selection of the freshest fish, cooked according to Gallipoli's age-old tradition. A welcoming and relaxing atmosphere awaits you within the ancient tuff walls of this restaurant, a regular haunt of ours, where we've never been disappointed. The weighing of the fish is clear and communicated in advance. Today, we specifically enjoyed a white sea bream and roasted cuttlefish: a delight. Occasionally, cheerful voices could be heard from the kitchen staff, and this gave me a sense of the organizational atmosphere here. This isn't a quick-and-easy stop for unsuspecting tourists; it's a place where they serve the freshest fish that's hard to find. Fully satisfied and rewarded with the "divine love" desserts at the end of the meal. I had only heard of Chef Andrea, but today I clearly understood the reason for the unanimous high regard he has earned, well beyond Salento. Well done everyone. We had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Briganti one evening while on vacation in Gallipoli. Not much to say: excellent food, top-notch service, attentive customer service, and an elegant atmosphere at reasonable prices. The catch of the day was very much appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

A true seafood osteria, like those of yesteryear, in the heart of Gallipoli's historic center, between the beach and the western shore. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a nautical style, and the dishes are generous and delicious, starting with the brigands' appetizer, which can be enjoyed with a wine from a wide selection of local and international wines. The prices are absolutely excellent considering the quality and quantity of the food and service.

Excellent location. We had lunch at this osteria during a visit to Gallipoli and had a very positive experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, while the cuisine stands out for its quality and freshness: the fish appetizers, both raw and cooked, are excellent, as are the first courses, all seafood and very flavorful. The desserts are also excellent. The prices are fair and the place is definitely worth a visit. Located in the historic center of Gallipoli, it is easy to reach, but given the high attendance, reservations are recommended. The welcome is warm and the service is attentive and professional. The menu, predominantly seafood, is not very extensive but well-structured and able to satisfy a variety of tastes. Despite the restaurant being busy, the wait times were more than acceptable. The portions are generous and beautifully presented. Overall, an excellent experience, with prices in line with a highly touristy location like Gallipoli. December 2025
