Nice place but tiny portions which are expensive for what you get. Had the lasagna & was shocked, never experienced such a small portion. Waited ages to get the food as well.

Inconspicuous from the outside, there is richness hidden inside... the dishes and the heart put into the service. Great starter, main courses with great local wine. Fantastic service - a lady who knows the menu and ingredients of the dishes. Great quality, portions of main courses perfect after antipasti and before dessert. While you wait, you'll be served local bread by Matera. The atmosphere and atmosphere of a family trattoria.

Ho chiamato qualche giorno prima di andare a Matera per prenotare un tavolo.. Già dalla telefonata si è capito che una volta entrati nel ristorante è come entrare in casa loro... Pasquale, la moglie e la figlia sono davvero persone stupende.. Ho finalmente mangiato la famosa Pignata Materana. E davvero ho coperto sei gusti antichi e saporiti... Accompagnati da fantastici padroni di casa... Consigliatissimo

Attratti dalle numerose recensioni positive lette ci rechiamo in questa osteria situata proprio nel cuore sei sassi. Da subito colpisce la location, in grotta e con un vecchio frantoio che fa da cornice a cui si aggiunge la gentilezza nonché simpatia del personale in sala e ancor più della titolare. Tagliere di formaggi e salumi molto buono e buoni anche i due primi che abbiamo assaggiato...molto particolare lo gnocco con fonduta di cacio ricotta e peperone crusco. Buonissima anche la tagliata di scottona sia per qualità della carne che per cottura. Non meno buono questo dolce tipico che preparano loro con pane di Matera: il panmisu, una sorta di tiramisù rivisitato e l' amaro al peperone crusco, particolarità anche questa. Che dire ...lo consigliamo assolutamente se si vuol mangiare del buon cibo nel centro storico della bellissima Matera. Ah dimenticavo: i nostri pelosetti a 4 zampe sono i benvenuti!
