If you want to discover a typical Bolognese tavern, this is the right place. Important cellar, traditional dishes and more. The crostini, gold-drop tagliatelle and truffle egg are absolutely worth trying.

Very nice tavern, at the same time simple and well-kept, places like this are unfortunately increasingly rare. Excellent cuisine: I had a roast beef to perfection but the menu is really inviting, in full Emilian tradition for both the first and second courses. I return after a year (I'm from Turin) and I confirm that the dishes are excellent: the tagliatelle with white ragù were superb. Impeccable service. Now if I come to Bologna I try to sleep in the area so I can eat at Becco di Legno which is a guarantee of goodness and friendliness!

Spectacular food in a typical setting, friendly and welcoming staff. An experience that I highly recommend to lovers of good food! Very good wine, go there!

Very good Italian food. Although the interior is inconspicuous, excellent regional home cooking. Prices are much lower than in the old town. Good regional wine. I recommend!

I enjoyed the dishes of the day, especially the black cheese and pepper tortelloni. Simple and courteous family environment. The historic tavern of the neighborhood, with various signs of the times. I also appreciated the fact of spending a quiet evening, being able to converse with whoever was in front of me, which is not a given in overly crowded places.

E' VERAMENTE UN TUFFO NEL PASSATO, UNO DI QUEI POSTI CHE RESISTE ALLA GLOBALIZZAZIONE E AI GUSTI DELLE NEXT GEN... PECCATO PERO' CHE OLTRE ALLA BELLISSIMA COPERTINA DI QUESTO LIBRO DI STORIA, CI SIANO PAGINE MANCANTI... IL MENU E' TRADIZIONALE MA POCO CURATO, IL LOCALE E' RETRO' MA ABBANDONATO A SE STESSO, LE PORZIONI SONO RISICATE, L'ASSORTIMENTO DEI VINI E' ESOSO E SCADENTE ED ALLA FINE IL RAPPORTO QUALITA'/PREZZO NON TI INVOGLIA A TORNARE IN QUESTO POSTO, CHE INVECE ANDREBBE PRESERVATO E CONSERVATO PER ALTRI 65 ANNI

In una calda serata bolognese, provo a chiamare in questo posto in cui non ero mai stato..giorno di riapertura post ferie! Osteria Bolognese (B maiuscola a proposito), attendendo il tavolo faccio una piacevolissima chiacchierata con un signore al tavolo all'entrata..Cibo, vino, ambiente, staff, servizio, tempistiche..tutto assolutamente Perfetto! Sicuramente ci tornerò più e più volte... Infine scopro che quel signore all'entrata è il proprietario quindi ancora un'altra nota positiva a queste Osteria, a queste persone..

24/03/2025: Great food, friendly and helpful service, nice and familiar atmosphere. We will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.
10/03/2025: Nothing to complain about the food and the service......a negative point is the bill which was too "salty".....if you offer me something that is not on the menu (e.g. Florentine steak) you must also give me indications of the costs.....otherwise I am in for a surprise when I have to pay the bill. Plus, with what I paid, I at least expect a receipt..... I add just to clarify and to respond to the kind restaurateurs, that in the menu that was given to us at the table the Florentine was not indicated just as it does not seem to me that it is indicated even in the online menu which I attach as a photo (in fact we asked if it was possible to order it off the menu)..... but obviously it is our fault for not asking the price..... Furthermore, none of us asked for the invoice and in fact it was not issued to us.....we only asked for two separate accounts.....maybe the customer is the wrong one?
