Excellent home cooking with good value for money, very friendly and helpful staff

Valentine's Day 2026 I chose this restaurant for the excellent reviews I've read and for the interesting menu at a reasonable price (unlike other restaurants with Christmas and New Year's menus over €90). A few kilometers outside Milan, the atmosphere is already different. The restaurant is beautifully maintained, but the decor is very vintage. For Valentine's Day, the tables were carefully decorated and themed, with flowers and candles. Tables are well-spaced, ensuring privacy. The waitresses are friendly, attentive, and fast. Parking is easy inside the restaurant, but also on the street. This place is popular with families and locals, mostly over 50. It's suitable for parties and small business lunches or dinners. All it needs is a little background music, which is always appreciated for relaxing. The bathroom is tidy, but could use some updating. I liked it, and I might return.

Osteria becalZu is our go-to food and wine destination for celebrating any event. The delicious, fresh food and wines are sure to please every palate; the service is always friendly and efficient, ready to accommodate any request or need, whether you're young or old. Last but not least, the osteria has a wonderful outdoor area where children can admire goats, kittens, and many adorable parakeets up close. Excellent value for money. Try it!

I've been frequenting this restaurant for many years, and today I celebrated my birthday here with my family, and every time I eat wonderfully, from appetizers to dessert, everything is excellent. But excellent is an understatement when it comes to the meat... I often go to restaurants... but I haven't found the quality of Chef Andrea's meat, even in renowned gourmet restaurants. Excellent value, and I forgot, don't miss Letizia's ice cream, thanks also to all the always patient and kind staff.

Lunch break, extraordinary value. The selection, at €12 for a first course, second course, a quarter of wine, and water, is extensive and mouthwatering, to say the least. There are at least five or six first courses to choose from, as well as second courses. A few dishes, among those I remember: radicchio risotto, pasta and beans, various pasta shapes with ragù or tomato sauce, cod with onions and polenta, chicken livers with polenta, roast pork cooked for 10 hours with roast potatoes or polenta, pork loin and luganega sausage with polenta.

A family-friendly restaurant with a wide selection of dishes, all very good, without gourmet frills. The fixed-price menu is very reasonable. Service is fast. The dining room is quite spacious, so the noise level is a bit high, but it doesn't impede conversation.

Double experience of eating and playing. Not to be missed for the delights.

Truly so much stuff. Unparalleled value for money. The courtesy makes you feel right at home, and then there's the super menu recited by the owner that makes you hungry as soon as you hear it. Highly recommended.

A place where you can still eat Lombard cuisine and drink excellent wine with the traditional calzù. Impeccable service that even satisfied the vegetarian in the group. Definitely worth returning to.
