TOP restaurant in the center of Trieste, excellent quality/price ratio, for €65 we ate: an appetizer (2 bruschettas with cream of creamed cod and olive), two second courses, two desserts, water and a glass of wine. We had such a good time that we had dinner there twice in our 3 days in Trieste: a restaurant with attention to detail with very kind staff and, above all, excellent dishes in their mix of originality and tradition (you DO NOT have the impression of being in one of those tourist places where you can order the usual banal things that please everyone regardless). Absolutely fantastic dinner. Everything was very tasty, bruschettas, salad, branzino fish, tuna, desserts. Capellacci stuffed with squash were insanely tasty. Great service, good recommendations. Absolutely nothing to fault. Book ahead as the place is small and gets busy even on a Sunday night.

A lovely osteria in the heart of Trieste. We tried canapés with creamed cod and a typical Friulian cheese, then jota and gnocchi. Highly recommended

Nice place with tasty food that feels authentic.
Definitely make a reservation since it is relatively small and packed with locals. We sent a reservation e-mail at 3PM for 7PM the same day and the reply and confirmation was almost instant.

Crostino di baccalà con olive taggiasche, tagliolini con busara di gamberi, gnocchi di patate e gulash.
Tanta, tanta, tantissima roba.
Entrati veramente a caso di domenica a pranzo all'apertura, ci hanno accolto subito e fatto sentire a nostro agio.
Molto carino il fatto che il menù sia scritto sul muro con scotch di carta, da quel tocco di spartano che ci sta benissimo per un locale modernissimo.

Unbedingt reservieren, kühl eingerichtet und nicht gerade gemütlich, dafür ist das Personal umso freundlicher und die Küche sehr gut und preiswert. Wir hatten Bruschetta mit Baccalà und Thunfisch Tartar als Vorspeise, danach Fisch Lasagne und Tagliolini mit Garnelen Busara, dazu Hauswein.
