Excellent dishes and cicchetti at a fair price

A truly authentic restaurant, offering traditional local dishes, friendly service, and absolutely fair prices. The only thing I think could be improved is perhaps some vegetarian/vegan options.

It's definitely worth it, for an aperitif or an informal but delicious dinner.

The atmosphere is intimate, cozy, and authentic: weathered wood, photographs on the walls, warm lighting, and that old-fashioned osteria atmosphere reminiscent of stories, conviviality, and good wine. The cuisine is sincere and respectful of the local area. Fish is the star, expertly prepared without unnecessary artifice: from the crispy and light fried calamari and prawns to the cicchetti that celebrate Venetian culture with elegance and simplicity. Each bite is balanced, clean, and distinctive. The creamy and enveloping orzotto is a tribute to peasant cuisine reinterpreted with a modern sensibility, while the seafood dishes narrate the lagoon with respect and restraint, letting the ingredients do the talking. Nothing is shouted, everything is thoughtful. The service is welcoming, familiar, and never intrusive: you feel like a guest, not a customer. Here, time slows down, you converse, drink well, and eat slowly, as it once did. Excellent food and drinks, good prices, obviously the place is always full so you need to arm yourself with a bit of patience

In the end I ate well.....a bit of confusion before understanding how the place works....they favor the local natives....but if you make do and adapt in the end you have a nice full immersion in the local tradition.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of high-quality fish dishes and cicchetti, along with a selection of local red and white wines. Fine desserts are also available. Excellent value for money. Worth a try.
