Authentic restaurant with truly regional cuisine.
The place is frequented by locals, which is generally a very good sign.
The waitress gave us excellent advice, namely that the dishes are quite generous, so no first or second courses. So we ordered an antipasto with an aperitif, a main course, and a dessert, and it was more than enough 😁.
We tried the polenta and cod, a must-try in the city, the truffle pasta, the sausage pasta, and the tagliata; all were very good value for money.

A true osteria, one that has a homey, authentic flavor, almost impossible to find these days. The atmosphere is simple, like a tavern. The service was very prompt. We tried two appetizers, of which I highly recommend the cod, and a first course, the bigoli with duck ragù, which were truly excellent.
A culinary experience not to be missed.

Historic osteria in the heart of Vicenza.
We found this place by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. The place is original and well-kept. The menu is varied, with local specialties, and also suitable for vegetarians.

Osteria IL Cursore ..Strada Pozzetto 10 ..Vicenza. Opens at lunchtime and then in the evening for dinner at 7:00 pm ..here they make excellent Venetian cuisine but also Vicenza cuisine, in a tavern with a retro atmosphere, completely covered in wood. I'll tell you right away that here a lunch or dinner is far too cheap for everyone if you love simple but good cuisine. It goes from 20 to 30 euros per person, among the best dishes we find ..bigoli, cod Vicenza style, polenta, and "creamed cod ..and many other succulent dishes from the 2 cities..accompanied by excellent wines. As for car parking ..it is better to park in the nearby avenues, and in 5 minutes on foot without having to bother too much ..you arrive at this trattoria.

Fantastic place 😀 I went for lunch at 12.15 and it was already lively. The Spaghetti alle Vongole was the best I've had and I really enjoyed sampling the Polenta e Baccalà alla Vicentina, with more than one glass of Pinot Nero (Tenutefosca). All excellent fare. Highly enjoyable experience all round.

Nel centro storico si trova questa osteria che porta gli avventori agli anni 70-80 del secolo scorso. I piatti spaziano tra le specialità regionali e i classici della cucina italiana, con carni e pesci in parti equanimi. Siamo stati colpiti dal buon livello delle pietanze; dalle porzioni generose; dai prezzi onesti, nonostante la posizione centrale. Il servizio è informale ma con un genuino modo familiare. Alla fine viene offerto l’amaro della casa. Complimenti!

Perfetto per gustare la gastronomia vicentina. Ho assaggiato piatti eccellenti come i bigoli o il baccalà in umido. Servizio cortese e rapido. Prezzi in linea con i patti e cmq non eccessivi. Quantità importanti. Grazie di tutto
