Osteria al Cantinon In Venezia

Just delightful- there are a few tables outside by a quiet canal so you are away from the crowds. The food is inventive and beautifully prepared. The staff were kind. If you want wines by the glass, just ask them and they’ll help you choose good pairings- they aren’t listed on the menu. I had zucchini flowers stuffed with a fish/potato concoction and fried which were a different twist on the usual and very good. Also squid ink spaghetti- love those! Again, creative and yummy. Can’t wait to go again- hard to find good food and a pleasant setting in a tourist place like Venice. Recommend reserving which you can do through their website.

The food was great, a bit more expensive that the two "€€" here would make you think, but not crazy (we paid ~40€ pax) . The location we really enjoyed since the tables outside are right near a canal with almost no traffic (of boats or people) and in the shade. Service was good too :)

Passing through Venice for a few days, very good little address. Pleasant service, friendly staff Very good dishes and rather well served (we had a flank steak and ragout pasta). Restaurant set back from the tourist route and in a quiet area. I recommend

We booked a table to celebrate our anniversary as we read very good reviews. We got a table by the water outside which was super cozy. Very nice staff who explained the extra dishes that were available for the day outside the menu. Unfortunately, we were not very happy with the food choices, but I am convinced that there were better options. We had raw beef for starters and I had a prawn pasta with beetroot spaghetti for main course and my husband had a type of bolognese. Unfortunately, I thought it would be grilled shrimp, but it was straight raw shrimp, which is not to my taste. My husband and I exchanged dishes and the bolognese was significantly better. Higher price range. This was the most expensive restaurant we ate at during our 3 day stay in Venice. But totally ok!

Restaurangen låg väldigt mysigt till. Avsides precis vid vattnet. Populärt, många som kom förbi och tog bord. Vi var dock inte jätte nöjda med maten men testar gärna något annat en annan gång. Ganska dyrt. Tog en råbiff till förrätt och en rödbetspasta med råa räkor till huvudrätt vilket inte föll mig i smaken. Men trevlig personal och jag rekommenderar absolut att gå hit.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Venice in a quiet location, we had a very good dinner with impeccable service

Nice setting if you are able to get s table outside adjacent to the canal. Meals were fine although we felt Google rating of 4.7 was a little ahead of reality.

Delicious, original, friendly dishes, good service, without accumulation of tourists. Reasonable price considering the quality.
