As soon as we arrived in Verona for a mini-vacation, we stumbled upon this beautiful spot on the Adige River. A wide selection of drinks, incredible food! The lasagna, tagliolini, and croquettes are delicious. The staff is top-notch: friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Thank you for everything!

A great place for a wine or spritz, close to the center of Verona but away from the tourist crowds. Friendly service, dog-friendly. I recommend it :)

Osteria ai Portegheti is a truly special place. If you only have a day in Verona, stop by for the fun ambiance, delicious bites, and fabulous yet affordable wine. If you have more time, I highly encourage daily visits to this lovely establishment. In doing so, you’ll get to experience the true magic that Fabiana, the owner of this Osteria, has created here. From the staff to the patrons, there is such a warm and welcoming community of people who gather here. We stopped by every day of our trip with our last night in Verona being my birthday. We had reservations elsewhere for dinner and music but wanted to come by here first for an aperitivo and to say hi to our new friends. We had so much fun talking with everyone that we ended up staying for the whole night instead. Fabiana and everyone here made it such a special birthday for me that you’d think we’d been friends for years. This will always be a special memory for me. I can’t rave about this place enough and will make it a point to return!

A must-see for locals. The classic, simple place. Always open. Always with a smile. In a touristy city like Verona, a real place. Aperitifs and quick snacks. Coffee and croissants in the morning. One of the few in the area open on Sundays.
