Osteria 1887 In Monteprandone

We arrived late in the evening, tired and hungry after a 12-hour journey. The owners were genuinely helpful, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with the warmth of old-fashioned osterias that are rarely found these days. To start, the house-made Ascolana olives...truly excellent. Nothing like the industrial ones, you can taste the difference. Next, the 600g sirloin skewer to share, cooked to perfection, with baked potatoes and mixed vegetables. Flavorful meat, generous portions, sincere and home-style cooking in the best sense of the word. Around €20 per person, including a glass of wine and water: a value that's hard to beat. Handy tip: make a reservation, especially on weekends - the place is small and deserves to be booked.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The skewers are delicious, and the appetizers could be improved. Excellent value for money.
