This restaurant left a bit to be desired.
Unfortunately, compared to the other restaurants we’ve dined at, this ranked among the lowest.
The portions were smaller than other places.
The food was prepared the slowest here. About 1.5-2 hours from ordering.
The other tables were all given their own bottle of olive oil for the bread, however for our large party, we had to keep asking them to refill our dishes? Not too sure what that was about as the dishes were barely filled and maybe had enough for 3 small dips. Perhaps some racism at play.
There was really nothing special to note about this restaurant. It was quite quaint and cozy, as it was decorated well. However some of the dishes were bland or poorly executed. Among them, this scallop on a dollop of mashed potatoes? The flavors didn’t quite match, but the scallop was cooked very good.
The restaurant was expensive for what we were given. And with that, we did not bother waiting another hour for dessert.
I would not recommend this place. If you only have one place to eat at, here, I’d recommend the Ristorante San Silvestro

Place sacrificed for a few tables, if there are more than two people it becomes difficult. Had lunch with cicchetti, but given the cost I advise against it, better to focus on dishes, for cicchetti the bars are better.

Delicious food, refined and informal atmosphere, attentive, friendly and intimate service. A "clean" cuisine, where each ingredient is recognizable and has its perfect identity, a combination of great quality in the 'simplicity' of traditional food, presented with care and harmony, in an intimate and characteristic location.
Probably in other months and occasions we would not have found this quiet, accompanied by a perfect musical background, and we would have enjoyed other tones, and the festive noise of a full room.
Medium-high cost which I find absolutely adequate for the quality. Perfect portions for my taste. We woke up satisfied and gratified. The pleasure of tasting exquisite traditional dishes, the kindness of the boy who served us with professionalism and warmth, and then taking a walk to the Rialto bridge in the pre-Christmas atmosphere gave me a pearl in my only evening in Venice. Thank you with all my heart. Super recommended.

I recommend this place for the very nice and typical environment, the kindness of the staff who take care of the customer and do it with kindness. We ate well, in a genuine way, which is no longer so easy to find in Venice. We thank Marco for his kind ways and availability. When I have friends in Venice I always try to bring them here.

Finding it by chance, and returning to repeat the experience of tasting delicious crostini with creamed cod. Positive experience, and I also recommend the radicchio and gorgonzola ones, plus all the staff are exquisitely courteous.
2024 update: confirmed as top for cicchetti and hospitality, always a guarantee for me when I return to visit Venice!

You could very easily miss this place if you are not paying enough attention on the street - and to be perfectly frank, I didn’t have high expectations when we first walked in. The ambiance is very unpretentious and there are only a few small tables. I didn’t know what to expect as it was booked by my husband and I didn’t know anything about the place. But this place honestly blew my mind! I can honestly say it was the best gnocchi I ever had (pumpkin gnocchi with poppy seeds and smoked ricotta with butter and sage), and the dessert - a deconstructed millefueille - was just as fantastic. Just amazing meal, and service. Do yourself a favor and book a table!
