A small, charming and well-kept restaurant with attentive and friendly service. The dishes are limited, but with excellent ingredients and well-prepared. The prices are fair.

Small but cozy place, very friendly staff, very good food, very fresh fish, and a unique dessert (which I personally didn't like much because I don't like prescinseua). Prices are reasonable. Reservations are recommended.

We chose this restaurant based on a hunch... we ate wonderfully, from appetizer to dessert, with an excellent wine to accompany it. The owner, kind and friendly, was always available to accommodate our wishes. The capon magro was amazing, the pesto spectacular, and the stockfish cooked like my mother's... what more can I say?

I had the pleasure of dining here with my family, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The dishes were excellent, truly delicious; they follow tradition, but with a touch of originality. The house wine was truly excellent. The staff who accompanied us during dinner were kind, helpful, and engaging. My partner is vegan, and having mentioned this when booking over the phone, they offered him some truly valid alternatives, which almost never happens. A truly excellent experience. We all left enthusiastic. I'm very picky about pesto, being used to my grandmother's, but their pesto is truly tasty, light, and not too salty—just right, I'd say. Thank you!

Only good things to say!! This is not a classic tourist trap but fantastic simple menu sincere cuisine classic Genova tradition. Highly recommended for world cuisine lovers. GR

By the way, the service and the classic pasta with pesto were really good. The red wine by the glass was also good. I had lunch in an authentic place, which I'm very happy about; I'll be back again. Thank you, and I'd also like to point out that it was prepared by an Italian, the kitchen is open, and the preparation is "transparent." It's rare to find such a good combination of cuisine and service these days.

29/12/2025: We had dinner with family and friends and were very satisfied. My 9-year-old son also loved it. Thanks also to the guy who served us, he was very friendly!
07/12/2025: This restaurant is located on the coast of Genoa Sestri, opposite the train station. The restaurant is cute, well-kept, a little small, but welcoming. The dishes are well-made, especially the pasta dishes, which are one or two steps above the other dishes. Parking... Best to arrive in a small car.

Grand Hotel Savoia

04/12/2025: Nice hotel — but a baffling and frustrating experience at the front desk. At check-in, we were greeted not with a welcome, but with a banner about a “gratitude payment” — essentially a voluntary tip scheme. Since we were only staying one night and had no meaningful interaction with staff, I called to opt out. I was told they would “check my bill” to make sure it was removed. Next morning? Still there. I was already on a business call while my family tried to check out, and instead of handling it smoothly, the staff insisted payment had to be made with a physical card. Out of patience, I tapped my phone — and it worked instantly. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. For a hotel claiming five stars, this felt more like amateur hour. Good service isn’t about surprise “gratitude fees” — it’s about communication, competence, and knowing when to get out of the way so guests can enjoy their stay — and actually get on with their planned journey without unnecessary friction. Edit: funny answer - did they even READ my post? I did call them the day before and it was still on the invoice.
01/12/2025: Beautifully decorated and clean hotel. Great breakfast and location. Unfortunately, the management falls short on customer service. We were “upgraded” to this hotel immediately after booking the neighbouring hotel, which we selected specifically for its spa. Nowhere was it communicated that the spa was unavailable at either hotels - from the time of booking right up until check in. At check in, the staff did not offer any compensatory or complimentary services to make up for this lack of critical communication.
