We happened upon it by chance while visiting Avola on a Sunday in September. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent, honestly, beyond our expectations.

When I think of Avola and the urge for a quick sandwich, Oscialè is my go-to. This isn't just your average sandwich truck, but a true Sicilian fast food institution. The difference is immediately noticeable: in addition to classic sandwiches with horse meat, chicken, or sausage, the menu is vast and also offers superior burgers, featuring unique meats like wild boar, Palazzolo pork, black pig, or Sicilian beef. This time, I started with the fried panelle, crispy, dry, and flavorful. Then I moved on to the real stars: the burgers. I ordered the Avolese and the Ragusano, and I must say they were truly spectacular. Soft bread, perfectly cooked meat, fresh local ingredients, and thoughtful combinations: not the usual heavy mixes, but flavors that blend beautifully and make you enjoy the sandwich from start to finish. Quality is their true strength: you can taste the selection of local products, from the meats to the cheeses (caciotta, mozzarella Iblea, burrata, etc.), right down to the vegetables and sauces. Nothing is thrown away, even though the format remains fast and informal. For me, Oscialè is the best fast food sandwich in Avola: a wide selection, excellent ingredients, fair prices, and that feeling of knowing you'll be eating well every time. Recommended for both those who want a classic sandwich and those who want something more sophisticated without sacrificing simplicity.

We went there twice during our stay in Avola; the paninis (chicken and tuna) are excellent. Warm welcome and reasonable prices. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're even passing through; you won't regret it! Thank you.
