Nice place, informal environment often frequented by university students, the beer is good and the prices are in line with the competition, recommended!

The brown barley is a certainty: good beers, good sandwiches, welcoming environment, courteous and approachable staff, excellent music, even if sometimes a little loud

Laid back and friendly lads behind the bar, great food and fun atmosphere. Unfortunately their beers weren't my taste.

Place has a "sister" bar across the lane that is more drinks than food. This place also has great drinks ( I came for their own brewed beer) but does delicious wraps & sandwiches too. They might do more but I saw a wrap and went straight to it. Staff are amazing...guy behind the bar could see me wrestle with the menu, asked me "what do you like"? and had the kitchen create a completely bespoke wrap for me. It was delicious. It's not fine dining but if you want to eat & drink where the locals do, go here. You will not be disappointed.
