While on vacation in the area, we ate there this evening. I enjoyed a sea bream and grilled vegetables, gnocchi, a piece of beef and fries for the man. The prices are fair and the owner is very friendly, he offered us coffee. Thanks to the whole team !

Two years ago, when we discovered this restaurant, I wrote the following: "Restaurant found by chance during a visit to Bari Sardo. Excellent fish dishes, above all the fregola, literally never tasted so good. Very kind staff, absolutely worth trying."
We went back last night, Saturday 27 July and, a bitter surprise that we felt as soon as we crossed the threshold and saw the first courses as we passed from table to table, nothing remains of what I wrote enthusiastically, only the memory. A company canteen-level fregola of the lowest quality, octopus, which my daughter orders in memory of the fresh and divinely prepared ones two years earlier, if possible even worse than the aforementioned fregola. I don't dare try any fish dish, given that what happens at the other tables doesn't inspire courage and then, frankly, 20 euros of fried food that not even at the fishermen's club in nearby Arbatax, moreover with the inevitable asterisk next to it , I willingly spend it yes, but in a different context and in exchange for very different raw material.
I therefore turn, always with great sadness, to a simple calzone (the pizzas, even those seen passing to the other tables, do not fall within my concept of pizza, what the hell, if it doesn't take you back to the mother earth of Naples at least, just to boast of the name of the dish , at least it should go close), the simplest thing to prepare with an oven turned on in front and a few ingredients to throw in: if possible, even worse than the dishes given to my wife and daughter. As a homely but experienced pizza chef and son of a pizza chef, I must say that you have to work hard to obtain such a terrible result; because if it is true that if you don't have mozzarella, ham, mushrooms or any other quality stuff to put in the filling, it is equally true that the customer who pays you the due something will have to stick in that blessed calzone, and not leave an external surface equal to approximately half of the aforementioned calzone used as an unlikely crust, which I underline for the avoidance of doubt, has nothing to do with the crust of a real pizza, where there is art and here it is just a clumsy attempt at give meaning to a product that has none.
A personal message to the friendly (!) manager, so careful to impress customers with lavish pats on the back that, in light of the facts. they sound more like an encouragement for what you are about to consume: get back on the right path, which two years ago in September had the place full every evening and in Brindisi right for what was needed, while yesterday, Saturday at the end of July, more tables empty than full, do you remember? Wir waren hier an zwei Abenden während unseres Sardinien-Urlaubs und es hat uns wirklich gut gefallen. Die Pizza war klasse, es gibt eine große Auswahl und es sind auch Variationen dabei, die ich noch nicht kannte. Insgesamt ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und eine sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung.
