Good Pizza, good crust and toppings - but the pizza dough itself could be improved.
Food like meat, pasta or salad - no complaints.
The prices are quite normal.
The service concentrates on serving as many customers as possible, one waiter e.g. has the job to bring in new customers. They don't like it, when you don't choose fast. The atmosphere is not as inviting as it used to be, there is a lot of pressure underneath.
Couples are sometimes offered tables in the middle, close to the server station. If you want a better place, they might look for a solution.
Maybe we give them a new try next year, maybe we leave for Piazza Santa Maria.
Between 3 and 4 stars, all in all there is no need to worry for customers. Go in to find out.

Average Italian restaurant with variety of menu items including pizza, pasta, steak and sea food items. Friendly service. Pleasantly located in the center of downtown of the Lucca town plaza. If weather is nice, sitting outdoor is very advised.

The best and friendliest service in the world. This woman made everything possible! Including burrata from the restaurant next door, gluten-free pasta and pizza, and homemade gluten-free bread. She really went out of her way to help.

The service was excellent. The spritz was one of the most expensive on the square because they compete with each other on prices. My companion said the limoncello spritz was better than the Aperol.
The chips were stale and therefore not recommended.
Other friends joined us, and it was no problem at all to find a table next to them.
We can't comment on the food, but the drinks were fine.
We paid 53 euros for 6 spritzes, 2 beers, and a sprite.

Ate a very good seafood pasta here twice. Lots of seafood and perfect pasta. A little difference in content from time to time and strength as it was with Chili and without squid 2 times but just as good👌

3-star atmosphere because it was a bit hot in the square. I had a good first and second course of meat. I recommend the very tender meat. However, in almost all the places you ate outside, but at least we had a good lunch there.

Stato a cena in questo ristorante e devo dire che è stata una piacevole scoperta! Servizio cordiale-preciso e rapido. Piatti abbondanti e soprattutto buoni.
Qualità/prezzo = OTTIMA
Se qln si trova a Lucca consiglio vivamente di andare a mangiare da old charlie piazza anfiteatro
