Historic Tuscan butcher's shop, a great butcher who was able to invent a unique place, behind which there is the history and traditions of his land. Once we arrive we see him there behind the counter cutting steaks still working behind that counter where it all started. Aperitif offered in front of the shop with crostini with Chianti butter (lard cream flavored with aromatic salt made by the Maestro) and red wine. Then when it's time for lunch with the sound of his trumpet and the meat motto Diem we go and sit in the 2 rooms, at the steak workshop (fixed menu at €50) or at the solociccia (fixed menu at €40 ) if desired, there is a vegetarian menu in both places. In the rooms there are tables to share with other customers to create a convivial atmosphere as if it were a party and it is. All delicious dishes, well prepared meat, in the center of the table vegetable dip with oil and the scent of Chianti (also very good). Then finally coffee from the mocha and oil cake which was also exceptional. Young and smiling staff which is rare. Then for anyone who wants to go out you can buy a food souvenir of what you just ate TOP.

My New Year's Eve lunch, having arrived alone, occupied the last available place at the table shared with other diners, menu with a very generous round of meat cooked in the brazier in front of the table, but the most beautiful thing was seeing managers who love own work, passion shines through.

Solo su prenotazione, consiglio di chiamare almeno un mese prima.
La cena è stata un'esperienza unica, un'esplosione di sapori ad ogni portata. Il costo è fisso di 50€, ma la cena ne vale almeno il doppio.
L'appuntamento è un'ora prima della cena per un aperitivo costituito da vino e bruschette con il lardo a volontà presso la macelleria posta al piano inferiore del ristorante. Giunto il momento della cena, ci si siede a un unico tavolone, secondo la filosofia del ristorante, per godere del pasto in compagnia.
Durante la cena sono a disposizione, in quantità illimitata, vino, acqua, pane e olio.
Le mie portate preferite sono state la tartare, la fiorentina ed il lardo spalmabile. Il resto della cena è stato squisito, di qualità e accompagnato da un personale gentile, disponibile e attento.
La cena si conclude con torta, caffè e grappa.
E' stata una cena indimenticabile...
Inoltre Dario Cecchini ti accoglie sempre con un gran sorriso

A world apart!
If you are looking for a normal restaurant it is not for you, if you are looking for refinement and Michelin stars it is not for you, if you are a person with little imagination and are wary of originality, go ahead.
The steak workshop is originality, it is creativity in tradition.
Tradition is in the convivial table as in the village festivals. Originality lies in the environment where every object present has its own reason, not to mention the layout of the room which reminds me of the ancient kitchens of Tuscan farms with the large fireplace.
The fat is the queen of the evening proposed in all cuts and ways but not least the tartare and all the various cuts that make you enjoy it. Excellent and tender meat accompanied by a course of potatoes cooked in foil to be enjoyed with the lard cream and better cannellini beans than I have ever eaten. To complete, a wonderful oil cake accompanied by grappa and vin santo. For just €50 you eat magnificently and you'll choke on the quantity but it's not just a dinner it's an EXPERIENCE!

Si va per fare in esperienza , se si vuole alzarsi con la pancia strapiena no, non che non si mangi o si mangi poco lungi da me dire questa cosa, tutto ottimo personale gentilissimo, all inizio della cena Dario Cecchini viene a dare il benvenuto a tutti i suoi ospiti. Caffè con una moka gigante favoloso per non parlare della torta all olio offerta più volte. L unico appunto che posso fare che si potrebbe fare ogni tanto un ripasso con le portate se magari qualche commensale ha apprezzato molto e ne vorrebbe di
Più. Comunque consigliato e da provare!
