A truly authentic place amidst so many touristy restaurants in this charming fishing village. The restaurant is family-run. The service is basic but welcoming and friendly, the ingredients exceptional, and the freshest fish cooked to perfection. If I could give it 10 stars, I would, and if I returned to Naples, I'd definitely go back for the fried calamari and mixed seafood, as well as the calamaretti alla Luciana.

Looking at it like this, you'd never guess that in that corner of the village there's a true gem of Neapolitan cuisine. The fried calamari, shrimp, and octopus are amazing, but I could have eaten the whole menu! Great prices and truly high-quality food. They are pure heart.

In the fishing village, a historic trattoria that stands out for its quality at a very reasonable price compared to more renowned restaurants in the area. Their fried dishes, especially the calamari-only one, are a must. The wine list is limited, but they offer quality local wines (Feudi di San Gregorio) at an unbeatable price for a restaurant (as told by someone who works in the wine trade as well as a sommelier). The owner is incredibly friendly and shared various anecdotes with us. We can only say 10/10 out of 10.

A small but comfortable restaurant. The seaside village setting, with Castel dell'Ovo in the background, speaks for itself. The fish is fresh and well-cooked. Good value. Reservations are recommended. Recommended.

02/02/2026: Truly an excellent experience! Super fresh fish and dishes crafted with meticulous attention to detail, with authentic flavors that are evident from the first bite. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, and the portions are more than generous. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always available to recommend the best dishes of the day. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, perfect for a quiet dinner or a special occasion. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!
27/01/2026: I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Macchinera restaurant last Sunday to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday, and it was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant, despite its simplicity, is very welcoming. The dishes are not only high-quality but also plentiful, and the first courses feature a truly rich seafood selection. The staff is also very friendly and always ready to accommodate guests' needs. I also really liked the table layout (there were just over 20 of us, and we were able to chat among ourselves; there were no other people in the dining room). Among the dishes, the prosciutto crudo as a first appetizer deserves a special mention, which I absolutely loved, even though I'm not a big fan of raw fish. Finally, I also found the price to be fair and appropriate for the amount consumed. We'll be back!

11/04/2026: Just spent 3 nights. Fabulous family-run hotel. A 2-minute walk to the beach. Very warm and inviting. Large, clean guest rooms with new, modern bathrooms. Food is excellent. No need to find other restaurants. The staff is high on hospitality, helpful and pleasant. Don't think about staying anywhere else in Maiori. I spent 3 nights here. A fabulous family-run hotel. Just a 2-minute walk from the beach. A very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Large, clean rooms with new, modern bathrooms. The food is excellent. No need to look for other restaurants. The staff is extremely hospitable, helpful, and kind. Don't even think about staying anywhere else in Maiori.
