A beautiful restaurant beneath Castel dell'Ovo, serving all seafood. Portions aren't particularly large, but the quality is decent and the prices are fair. The service is good. I recommend it for an evening with friends or as a couple in a lovely atmosphere!

Otabaccaro is a rare gem in Naples' Borgo Marinaro district. In a place where many restaurants have bowed to the demands of mass tourism, Otabaccaro remains true to tradition and authenticity. Here you won't find tourist-catching dishes or needlessly inflated prices, but a restaurant that maintains excellent value for money, without compromise. The food is always delicious, carefully prepared, and served with a genuine kindness that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The cloth tablecloths, impeccable cleanliness, and simple yet welcoming atmosphere make you feel immediately at home. The calamarelle are a true delight, and the variety of dishes pleases every palate. If I had to bring someone to Naples to experience authentic Neapolitan cuisine, I'd take them to Otabaccaro. It's always busy, which is already a sign of quality, and the waiters are always kind and attentive. A restaurant that deserves a solid 10 out of 10 for its quintessential Neapolitan flair and simplicity. Be wary of the many "over-tourist" restaurants that populate the Borgo Marinaro. Not all are like this, but it's easy to fall into the traps of places that aim to fleece tourists rather than offer an authentic experience. There's something good about the Borgo (tradition), but there's also something awful. If you're unfamiliar with the place, read the reviews: you can get really, really ripped off here. But if you're looking for the authentic Naples, Otabaccaro is a surefire choice.

Everything is wonderful, a family-run restaurant, the food is authentic, fresh, and excellent quality, the staff is attentive, thoughtful, and reliable. You feel right at home, and the location is breathtaking, ideal for spending a perfect day. My heartfelt compliments.

Exceptional place, family atmosphere, exceptional food

A truly authentic place amidst so many touristy restaurants in this charming fishing village. The restaurant is family-run. The service is basic but welcoming and friendly, the ingredients exceptional, and the freshest fish cooked to perfection. If I could give it 10 stars, I would, and if I returned to Naples, I'd definitely go back for the fried calamari and mixed seafood, as well as the calamaretti alla Luciana.
