The place is very well decorated, I'd say with a vintage feel. I really liked the tableware: white with pink flowers. But the highlight is the pear and chocolate cake, one of the best I've ever had; you could taste the quality! The pasta with white ragù was also very good. I highly recommend this place!

Nice restaurant but found it too expensive!

I've been going to Gianni's for decades now... a guarantee for the quality of food and hospitality in Milan. All the products are top-notch, the dishes are always excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I—and my daughters too—feel right at home here, with the same warm atmosphere you get when you're at home. The guests are also very high-profile, you'll find the 🔝 of the people who matter, and it's not your usual place for last-minute "posh" people: the only flaw... it's a den of AC Milan fans! 😂

We loved this restaurant so much that we went twice during our short stay in Milan. Nicolo the manager is exceptional and provided great service both nights! We didn’t have a reservation but they were accommodating to us. This truly feels like a locals spot. We will be back next time we are in Milan!

The best restaurant in Milan! The food is outstanding, service is excellent and vibrant ambiance.

In Milan the food is another level but Nuova Arena was another level. Had Vitello tonnato, risotto ala milanese and trippa that was out of bounds.

Place Returned after two years and it was just as good as before. A true local, family-owned spot with a warm Italian feel. The decoration is homely and authentic, and the seating is spacious enough for groups of any size. The location isn’t near a metro, but it’s still easy to reach. Staff Very friendly and professional. English can be a bit of a challenge at times, but it doesn’t affect the experience. Food Outstanding food across the board. The cotoletta alla milanese, risotto, and fish were all excellent. Prices Not the cheapest, but fair for the quality you get. Extra This place has hosted, or still hosts, AC Milan players — a fun detail that adds to its charm.

Exactly what you want when you’re looking for a locals-only spot or a traditional family restaurant.. Nice and intimate atmosphere, excellent homestyle cooking. Amazing Mondeghili and Risotto Milanese, two house specialties that cannot be missed. I had some doubts the food would be this good and it was even better than expected. Such a pleasant evening overall.

A traditional trattoria serving authentic Milanese cuisine in the Sempione area. You enter through a small door and always feel like you're transported back in time! We started with a tartare and mondeghili, a classic Milanese dish, delicious—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Next was a cutlet (we weren't crazy about this one, as it was too thin), and the risotto with ossobuco, very creamy and tender. To finish the meal, they also make daidai bocconcini (vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate)!
