Nostos Bistrot In Siracusa

I was visiting Ortigia in December... in the restaurant I simply ate in a divine way!!!

Recommended choice, I was on holiday in Ortigia and I went with friends... all satisfied with the excellent quality of the food and the service. Thank you!

We had the chance to spend New Year's Eve on 12/31 in this establishment while we were passing through Syracuse, in the middle of a room full of locals, which is a good sign. Chef Giovanni delighted us, in a friendly and warm atmosphere. He came regularly during the evening to check that everything was going well. The cuisine was typically Sicilian with all the markers (pistachio, octopus, tuna, swordfish, fresh shrimp, risotto, ravioli and tiramisu) washed down by a delicious Sicilian white wine to finish with the famous prosecco. The room is pleasant, on a human scale. The service was discreet and efficient. Content price In short, a very good time We recommend you without hesitation if you pass through Ortigia

Lo chef è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile a cucinare un piatto di pasta senza glutine preparando il sugo alla Norma al momento, in modo che non ci fossero contaminazioni. E il locale era già quasi pieno…. Ottimo il sugo e anche la zuppa di cozze che era piccante al punto giusto. Consigliatissimo!

Super pleasant, authentic family business. We had the grilled fish plate and Zuppe di Cozze and lime sorbet for dessert. It really tasted perfect. The plates could have been put back on the shelf straight away, thanks to the bread ;) PS: And thank you again for the t-shirt. I will wear it next time I visit :)

Nostos Bistrot prepared the BEST food we had on our Italian holiday. The size of the restaurant is perfect, the atmosphere charming. The service was attentive and not overbearing. The food was OUTSTANDING, especially the Zuppe di cozze alla Siracusana (wanted to lick the bowl it was that good), caponata Siciliana, and the Pasta alla Norma, but not Normal. Relatively inexpensive. 100% recommended. Nostos Bistrot prepared the best food we ate on our Italian vacation. The size of the restaurant is perfect, the atmosphere charming. The service was attentive and unobtrusive. The food was exceptional, especially the Syracusan mussel soups (I wanted to lick the bowl because it was so good), Sicilian caponata, and pasta alla Norma, but not normal. Relatively cheap. 100% recommended. PS. Thank you very much for the Strawberry Honey (a delicious touch).

I visited in mid December when the town is very quiet. I had a great dinner and conversation with the chef/owner. Fish of the day with orange sauce and vegetables was great — light and tasty. I had special rice balls, small with squid. Followed by mini cannoli and hosue desert wine. Small street above the temple and not on the main alleyways. Worth finding this place. They also have homemade pasta.

Beware of foreign run tourist traps!! Edit: do not go here if you want an authentic Sicilian food. This place is operated and food is made by non locals. The food is barely a 3 star; not surprisingly, after sharing my honest feedback (as seen below) the owner attacked me which is also a non Italian attitude.

La cena en Nostos Bistrot, Via Dione 92, Ortigia fue un placer. Su lema es “nunca confíes en un chef flaco”. El chef parece ser un hombre muy accesible y bien informado y nos aconsejaron que obtuviéramos sus recomendaciones. El servicio fue excelente, el personal es amable y atento. Los precios son razonables sobre todo teniendo en cuenta la calidad de los platos y el tamaño del restaurante, siendo pequeño con tal vez una docena de mesas. Teníamos un calamar relleno con camarones, piñones y pasas y un plato mixto de mariscos fritos. Tuvimos una noche muy agradable.
