Very friendly staff, especially the chef, who takes a personal interest in coming out of the kitchen to ask if the customer enjoyed his dishes. Delicious food (bruschetta, pasta alla norma, and spaghetti with seafood). If you come to Ortigia, avoid the super crowded places; move away from the center; you'll find some real culinary gems. 👌

A wonderful gastronomic experience for a place in Ortigia, where almost all the cuisine is geared toward tourists.
Very good value for money, good service, and a pleasant place.
You can tell there's a great chef behind it who takes great care of the ingredients.
We were there twice, and the second time we tried the arancini because it was something we hadn't eaten in Sicily. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were very accomplished, but it wasn't my favorite, not because it was bad, but because the dish itself was heavy due to the rice covering the filling. Back in the day, the amamas would make this to use up food from the previous day, and it would remain a typical dish.
They also served us two portions instead of one for two people, which was excessive for dinner since we had ordered two other things.
The other things we tried: any of the pastas, the caponata, the Sicilian salad, and the vegetable bruchetta—delicious.
The Sicilian salad was the most delicious we tried on the island and the bruchetta was exquisite.

Crazy! This little bistro in the heart of Ortigia is of a quality that to say "very high" is an understatement. We had a great time, we had a fried fish as an appetizer and two first courses: spaghetti with seafood and garganelli with pistachio pesto and swordfish. Finally, given the abundance of dishes, we decided to share a dessert recommended by them, the limoncello tiramisu (try it to believe it, it's an experience).
Fantastic service, everyone is kind, polite and helpful!

Giovanni "The Fat Chef" is amazing. This was our best meal in all of Ortigia. So good that we are going back tonight, two nights in a row.

While passing through Syracuse, we discovered this restaurant by chance - the cheerful atmosphere that emanated from it encouraged us to go there for dinner and we were delighted by the traditional dishes offered and the welcome.
I can only recommend it.
The prices are in keeping with the quality served on the plates.

Gourmet dining experience! The food was beautiful, and delicious. The chef wandered amongst his guests, stopping to chat with diners and receiving heaps of praise for his wonderful cooking. The service was impeccable.

Abbiamo mangiato molto bene, porzioni ottime, ed ospitalità come in pochi altri posti, attenzione verso i bambini e gentilezza infinita!!! Se torneremo ad Ortigia ritorneremo a trovarli!!!!
