The sandwich was good, the hot dish was nice, and the vegetables were minimal.
We would have liked larger portions.
Price? Typical of Piazza Duomo and for tourists.

Sacred and profane, on the left the more recent façade of San Feliciano, on the right the historic Massatani shop; but are we certain there isn't a good deal of sacredness in the delicatessen of Signor Corrado and his family?
Having tried it, I firmly affirm the noble and sacred nature of the cured meats shop and of what it offers at the counter and at the table, because at Massatani you can also have lunch and dinner in the evening.
High-quality products, transformed in the kitchen into truly delicious dishes, and then, not to be overlooked, indeed, a must, is the take-away of cured meats and other delicacies: mortadella, sausage, ciauscolo, prosciutto, coppa, and other delicacies displayed for all to see on the counter. Efficient, polite, and courteous service, fair prices. How could you not return?

We went there for lunch today, our second time. From Rome, we spent a weekend in Umbria. We were passing through Foligno and came here.
We had lunch out with our four-legged friends. The girls were friendly, always smiling. Excellent food, excellent local products.
The bill was in line with what we ate. We'll definitely be back.

We stopped for lunch, and despite it being crowded, they found us a comfortable seat. The service was fast and attentive. The quality is superb (the herb rocciata was excellent, "one of the oldest street foods on the peninsula," as the menu says).
The staff was truly friendly and helpful.
Excellent in-house retail outlet selling traditional and homemade products. Highly recommended!

Every time I step into Norcineria Massatani 1913 in Foligno, I feel like I’m experiencing the heart and soul of Umbria. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re surrounded by the incredible aromas of cured meats, aged cheeses, and specialties that have been perfected over generations. There’s a sense of history here—you can feel that this family has been doing it right for more than a century.
The quality of the food is extraordinary. Their prosciutto practically melts in your mouth, and the salumi are rich, flavorful, and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. Even something as simple as a slice of their porchetta feels special. What makes it even better is the warmth of the people who work there. The entire staff treated us like we were family. They don’t just sell you food; they share stories, give recommendations, and make you feel like part of the tradition.
I’ve traveled to many places in Italy, but Massatani stands out as a true highlight of Foligno. It’s more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience that connects you to the flavors and culture of this region. If you want to taste authentic Umbria, this is where you go. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I had a lovely time at Norcineria. Florina, one of the employees, explained the menu for me and made very good suggestions. I ended up having a mix of chesse and different types of prosciutto, which was great - and since I couldn't finished, Florina offered to organize the leftovers for take away. Really thoughtful The place itself was beautiful and welcoming, right at the city center. Hopefully i will be in Foligno again to be there.

I chose this place based on its distance from my accommodation, and... an absolute winner! A wonderful little place with staff that to describe as delightful and helpful would be an understatement. The dishes I chose brought me immense joy. Wonderful. In my opinion, a must-visit for anyone passing through Foligno.

Premier endroit où nous avons mangé à Foligno. C’étaient l’après-midi, en dehors de l’heure de pointe. Le personnel était très accueillant et chaleureux. Ayant remarqué que nous parlions français, ils essayaient de nous servir en français plutôt qu’en anglais. Pour notre part, nous avons essayé de communiquer en italien malgré notre faible niveau et ils étaient très patients. Les carbonaras et les paninis étaient excellents. J’ai également pu goûter des bières artisanales exceptionnelles que je n’ai pas retrouver ailleurs, incluant une IPA et une biere aux raisins. Ils nous ont également comment ils fabriquaient leur viande séchée!
