Nonna Nini In Assisi

This place is small and so calming. The service was incredible and the waitress, Tracy, was so kind and always made time to have small talk with her customers! The food is a mix of Indian and Italian that packs so much flavor! The food does take a bit of time, but it is worth the wait!

My 12-year-old daughter and I visited for lunch, and I have to say that after seven days in Italy, this was our best dining experience so far. The fusion of Italian and Indian cuisine here is simply a masterpiece! Everything was fantastic—the service, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the food. For appetizers, we had the eggplant meatballs and the lentil soup. It was so good that we finished it before we even had the chance to take pictures! For our main dishes, we ordered the Cappellacci di bufala with orange sauce (which was a celebration of flavors in my mouth!) and the Tagliatelle al ragù di verdure. My daughter was so amazed by the flavors that she was speechless with every bite! We wanted to try dessert, knowing it would be mind-blowing, but we were too stuffed! I would give this experience a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it. I hope we have the opportunity to come back! Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful experience! ❤️✨

Delicious truffle gnocchi, the best I've ever had. The pesto capeletti was wonderful. Other dishes were also delicious! Worth a visit. I would go back for the gnocchi.

This restaurant was absolutely delightful. The food was fresh and interesting. Italian/Indian fusion is not something I ever imagined and am so glad I experienced. I would definitely go back.

Everything about this restaurant was perfect! The food, the owner, the decor. Was here for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint at all. Only wish it were located in the states so I could return often!

Nonna Nini is an incredible Umbrian dining experience. It blends the classic cuisine of the area with some mouth watering fusion options as well. I’ve dined here on multiple trips and sent others here as well. We always come away raving about the food and the experience. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years and dining here was one of the formative experiences of my career. The best place to eat in Assisi!

Very quiet location in the center of Assisi, very present and attentive staff (perhaps with a little anxiety). Concise menu with dishes that should be explained better. Excellent dishes, some of them with an Indian touch.

My friend and I were looking for a little place that offered vegetarian and vegan cuisine, we found Nonna Nini, a combination of India and Italy, the Indian chef inebriated us with spicy flavours, lots of care and attention, refined cuisine, and the very cute and helpful waitress!! The lentil soup and basmati rice with vegetables were literally divine!! Plus the fried parcels with potatoes, broad beans and truffles were a crazy discovery!!!! We come from Rome and the next time we pass through here it will 100% be our first stop!!!

Ristorante che unisce la cucina locale con sperimentazioni lontane. Un po’ pasticciata la scamorza con pomodoro e tartufo, ottimi invece i fiocchetti zola e pera. Interessante il riso limone e cocco anche se i gamberi non erano un granché. Mousse cioccolato non eccezionale. Locale un po’ poco riscaldato per i nostri gusti e le temperature invernali.
