I discovered N'Ombra de Vin in Milan years ago, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to spend the evening. The atmosphere is truly special, with a vast selection of wines and a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to relax. A big plus is the live music on Thursday evenings, which makes the experience even more enjoyable and lively.
I frequent this place almost every week for the quality of the aperitivo, the wines, and the atmosphere. However, there is one aspect that I find disappointing: on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, if you wish to stay after the aperitivo, you are required to order the set menu for dinner, otherwise you are asked to leave your table.
The last time, despite having ordered more than three set menus' worth of aperitivos, we were still asked to leave after about an hour and a half. This type of management risks penalizing regular and loyal customers.
Furthermore, the way some staff interact with customers leaves much to be desired: sometimes you get the feeling that even if a customer decides not to return, it wouldn't matter to them because the place is still full. However, customer service is a fundamental aspect worldwide, and it should be given greater attention here in Italy as well.
I truly hope they can review these policies and attitudes, because the place has great potential and it would be a shame to lose loyal customers for these reasons.

Okay... The place is interesting and nice, but we weren't satisfied with the service. The reason is that if I order a glass of wine that costs €18, I expect to be able to taste it first to see if I like it or not (just like they did at the Cotti wine bar where we were before). The ragù lasagna was quite good, but the portion was small for the €20 it costs. Also, even though the place was almost empty, they seated me at a table where the waiters were constantly walking by and bothering us.

A truly positive experience. Ombra de Vin is a beautiful place, with a unique and captivating atmosphere that sets it apart from the crowd. Perfect for a drink and an evening with friends. The refined atmosphere, great vibe, and friendly service make it one of those places you'll want to return to.
This place was recommended to me by a colleague of mine. From the outside it looks like an ordinary bar, but if you go down to the basement, you see a huge underground wine cellar. The atmosphere is really nice. You see wine bottles standing around everywhere and the price is written on them. We had a delicious glass of wine and got nipples and olives, served with it. I saw that you can also have dinner here, but it’s only a small selection or cutlery platter.

A really cool place. You can sit at the communal tables. I went around dinnertime and it was perfect for a relaxed drink and a bite to eat, but with a great atmosphere. They bring you something to eat with your drink. A little more expensive, but totally worth a visit.

It was good, tho a lot of random strangers come to sell stuff and interrupt people while they enjoy drinks

The place to visit!
It has 2 areas , one outside and one in the basement.
If you want to visit the basement , mostly for dinning, you must make an reservation in advance ( they make reservations only during weekdays).
I visited the place twice while in Milan, both sat outside. Even though it was full and we had to wait , the waiters were really helpful and kind !
The wine was great and the atmosphere too!
