Nino In Bologna

Let me start by saying that I am from Rome, and I organized a Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday, bringing together relatives from several regions. I was looking for a restaurant in Bologna, located between the station and Piazza Maggiore, which would allow us to eat typical Bolognese cuisine, with 20 guests, at an acceptable price. Among the various emails sent, Mr. Martino, owner of the restaurant, responded with an excellent proposal, promising an organization suitable for an 80th birthday. We showed up on Sunday, discovering that Martino had reserved a room just for us, overlooking the arcades of Via Volturno, a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore. After a greeting and a walk around the city, we returned to find everything organised, with professional and very kind waiters. Everything went as Mr. Martino promised me, with a quality of the various courses worthy of this fantastic city. Mortadella, tortellini, lasagne, guinea fowl, potatoes, an excellent cake all with a thick Sangiovese. I can only thank Mr. Martino, and his boys, for helping us celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th birthday properly. Surely all diners, returning to Bologna, will know where to eat. Thanks again

Excellent restaurant discovered by chance, delicious food and helpful and competent staff

We went here on 9-Nov-2024. we had Lasagne and Veg Soup and afterwards Gambas and roasted Chicken. Lasagne and Potatos were cold. Gambas and Chicken dry as overcooked. Overall mostly tourists (like us) here, felt a bit like being fed quickly. I did not complain but when asked how it was I said ok and that it had been cold, but no reaction. Not recommended in a city like Bologna that is full of outstanding restaurants.

7 years since our last visit and still happy to dine at Nino's. Pleasant and efficient staff. We miss the old checkered tablecloths which brought a certain charm to the place. Wide choice of pizza and homemade dishes. AMEX card refused.

Really really great store. Had the spaghetti carbonara and what can I say... PERFECT. Price/performance simply great. We can only recommend this restaurant.

The service was excellent, typical pizza , pasta was more than al dente, before to be unboiled.

Nous avons passé une belle soirée. Nous avons partagé deux entrées (une assiette de mortadelle très fournie et une assiette de bruschettas), très bon ! Mon compagnon a ensuite pris une tagliata di manzo avec du gorgonzola fondu, très savoureux ! Et moi les gambas grillés, très bon aussi ! Nous avons terminé par un tiramisu (attention, il est à la crème). Les vins au verre étaient très bien aussi.

Wonderful! Great service, wine, food, recommendations. We were too full for dessert but they brought us fruit and sorbet. What a great experience. Love this place! He suggested we split the options between us, which was perfect. The pictures of the pasta was 1/2 the amount. So fresh! Love it! I’m super picky so I was shocked how much I loved this place!
