Nicolao Ristorante In Gubbio

Seen on 02/06/2026. It's reached via a short dirt road. The surrounding countryside is lush and green, with olive groves and vineyards interspersed with a marvelous view of the still snow-capped Etna. Despite the restaurant being packed, the service was excellent. The appetizer was substantial, the second course of first courses unexceptional, though tasty, and the second course of roast beef was ordinary.

A truly beautiful place with tremendous potential. I'm giving it four stars because they lack attention to detail. For example, the children's play area could be improved, especially to prevent anyone from getting hurt. Breakfast was too basic; we asked for both yogurt and water. The only things on the table were frozen croissants, butter, and jam. For lunch, the appetizers were good, but the first and second courses needed improvement in both quality and quantity.
