A cozy, home-style wine bar where Luigi, the owner, makes you feel right at home with his friendly service. The wine list is a bit limited, especially on the Pugliese side, and the food could use a little more flavor and polish. Best to stick to the cheese and cold cut board or the stirate (a kind of pizzetta). Great spot for a casual drink, less so for a full meal.

We stopped in, fascinated by the location, for fried food accompanied by beer. The draft beer was excellent, but the fried food was inedible. Service was slow despite only a few tables being occupied.

Very nice location! The owner is very nice and kind, like all the guys, the music is good, the food is good, we were there as a couple in August for two aperitifs.

I'm leaving a positive review because I don't usually lower a restaurant's rating. I appreciated the owner's prompt responses to every comment. I'd be happy if he'd respond to this one, explaining the origins of "the Apulian spritz" (given its flavor) and what justifies its ten-euro price tag.

Bar Manhattan

15/09/2025: The croissant was filled on the spot with cold custard. The flavor of the custard seemed rather bland to me. The croissant didn't seem fresh. The cappuccino was just okay. Unfortunately, my reference is the Manhattan bar from 30 years ago, which was the last time I enjoyed a good breakfast. I've been away for a few decades, but I've missed the goodness of the Manhattan bar of yesteryear.

11/03/2025: Ci siamo accomodati per cenare vicino al bancone del bar ed io ne ho approfittato per avere un cocktail in attesa dei miei due commensali. Come antipasti abbiamo scelto delle polpette di pane e di carne e poi io ho optato per le anchette di pollo croccante. Tutto molto buono, come del resto sono stato abituato in questo locale. Cameriere/bartender gentile e attento nei nostri confronti.
