A distinctive restaurant, from the location to the ambiance to the menu. The famous Ischian-style rabbit (reservation required) is highly recommended, and is served with bucatini pasta, a first course, cooked in the same sauce. A live pianist completed the romantic atmosphere.

We booked the sunset table and the views were excellent. We had the fish of the day (tuna) with aubergine and mint stew - this was delicious The ischian salad in the pizza crust was also a nice novelty and really tasty. We also had the tagliatelle and ragù, would definitely get this again too.

This immersive, spectacular, family-run restaurant is a must on Ischia. I would venture to say that if you go to Ischia and do not go to Ristorante Montecorvo, you will regret it the rest of your days. It is that memorable and meaningful! This is the #1 restaurant to have Ischia's #1 dish: Ischian Rabbit. But you don't have to have the rabbit to fall in love with this establishment and its owners. We arrived from America, sleepless and hungry having made reservations in advance. Nicola, the restaurant owner, host, and son of the chef, greeted us with more love and welcome than we could ever have imagined. He gave us the best table with a sunset view down the mountain to the sea. My husband made the wise decision to pre-order the rabbit (it takes 45min to an hour to prepare). I had Ischian shrimp and a salad. We also ordered the stuffed zucchini blossoms as an appetizer. Everything came to the table fresh with so much attention to detail and SO delicious. I'd never eaten rabbit but I tried some of my husband's and it was delightful! We stayed in the twinkling lights of Montecorvo until dark and then, the real magic. Nicola allowed us back to the kitchen to thank the chef, his gracious mother Carmela. She was beautiful as she was talented in her cooking. We left feeling as though we'd not just had dinner as patrons but had been welcomed to the family table. I adore this restaurant and its family. I highly recommend. In fact, I would insist on taking you, if I could. Thank you, Nicola and Carmela! We hope to return many times in the future. Ischia has captured our hearts (and our palates), thanks to you.

Very nice location (especially the outside) and with parking (not very easy road). Excellent first and second courses, very special the rabbit, courteous and present staff, not exactly cheap bill but honest considering all the factors. Only flaw: it can only be appreciated that the pianist plays (wonderfully) and the people sing, but when singing ends up screaming, the customers who end up disturbing the others should be called to order, practically you couldn't talk at the table from what had become just noise.

Fantastic experience from every point of view

Very nice restaurant in Panza. Good food and service. We had the catch of the day, sea bass, dessert plus two very good wines. Truly recommended.

Ho avuto il piacere di assaporare piatti della tradizione, preparati con ingredienti di ottima qualità e presentati con grande cura. Ogni portata ha saputo esaltare i sapori autentici della cucina locale, arricchendoli con un tocco personale dello chef, capace di rendere ogni assaggio una piacevole scoperta. L’atmosfera romantica ha reso l’esperienza ancora più speciale, grazie anche alla presenza di un pianista talentuoso che ha accompagnato la serata con una selezione musicale raffinata e mai invadente. L’ambiente, curato nei minimi dettagli in stile rustico, dona un senso di calore e autenticità, mentre la location suggestiva incanta sin dal primo sguardo. Il personale è estremamente gentile e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Unico piccolo neo: il ristorante è un po’ difficile da raggiungere a causa della scarsa segnaletica, ma una volta arrivati, la qualità dell’esperienza ripaga ampiamente lo sforzo.
