The best ravioli with tomato sauce in Italy! Meals made with garden produce. The lemon sorbet with locally produced amaro is irresistible! A stop at this restaurant is a must on this mountain road if you're passing through Gargano.

Roadside restaurant with a magnificent view of the sea and the surrounding area. Exceptional food with very fresh produce. The friendliness of the staff is a big plus for the establishment. We had a very pleasant time and will return!

It was a great evening, I was all alone in the restaurant but I had a pleasant meal, the staff was very attentive. I recommend the grilled shrimp and a mixed salad, accompanied by local white and red wine.

We were on the way and stopped for lunch. We ordered cheeses and bruschetta, then two first courses: orecchiette and tomato ravioli, and a tiramisu. The tiramisu portion was a bit small. Prices were a bit high. The owners were helpful and friendly.

This was a great find. We stayed at the hotel 0.4 miles from this restaurant. We weren’t super happy with their food so gave this place a try. The owner/server Antonino was superb. Did his best to communicate in spite of the language barrier. We had fish, pastas and tomato salads. We finished with his special “citrus shot” over lemon gelato. Delicious. We are going again tonight!

01/10/2025: We stumbled upon this truly fantastic place today. Just above Mattinata, a breathtaking view of the sea and olive groves (it's a shame about the rain, but the view was beautiful nonetheless). Lunch included an excellent plate of orecchiette allo scoglio (seafood orecchiette) and a homemade dessert made with almonds and lemon cream. Excellent. The welcome was extraordinary, the people were kind and cheerful. I highly recommend it.
25/09/2025: I highly recommend Scarpetta D'oro. This simply enchanting place offers a view of the beautiful Mattinata and its fantastic sea. The atmosphere excites and makes you enjoy lunch or dinner from the moment you arrive. Spacious yet intimate. I want to give a special compliment to the owner, who is very polite, kind, friendly, and above all professional. The food is a culinary adventure. We obviously had seafood for lunch. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were well-proportioned, allowing you to savor the true flavor of the sea. There was no wait. We were welcomed and pampered until the very end. I highly recommend this place. I will be back very soon and will definitely return many times.
