A small but very welcoming place. We were truly won over by the dishes we ordered. The stuffed yuca croquettes were a dream, with the crunchy yuca and the filling an explosion of delicious meat.
The ropa vieja and pluma ibérica were spectacular. My carne (pulled beef) was cooked to perfection, almost melting in my mouth. Kudos to the fried yuca, which was particularly good—not greasy, and most importantly, not chewy, as I often find in some places that offer it.
Superlative cocktails. Very attentive service, if a little stiff, but they were training the staff, so we happened to be there on a special night.

We had dinner last night for my husband's birthday party, and we felt welcomed into the family. The elegant venue, meticulously maintained, the cuisine was amazing, and it was an absolutely must-try experience. A little corner of Cuba in the city!
"Last night I had dinner at Monkey City and felt like I'd taken a direct flight to Havana. The dishes are truly traditional, carefully crafted, and full of flavor. The cocktails are also exceptional, expertly prepared. The atmosphere is vibrant and authentic: I felt like I was in Cuba the entire evening. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Cuban cuisine.
