Il Cinzanino In Maccagno

The rock gym has a remarkable number of sport climbing routes (I've seen them from 5 to 7B+). Therefore, I think it's a great option for enthusiasts. Sport climbing is too difficult for my abilities, but there's also an easy via ferrata just a few meters above the lake, offering great views. The via ferrata is technically undemanding and takes less than half an hour to complete. It can be done multiple times, as the walk from the start to the finish is less than five minutes. The gym and via ferrata complex can be accessed by turning left immediately after the first tunnel exiting Maccagno, where there are four or five parking spaces, or in less than ten minutes from the beach parking lot, following the lakeside promenade and the small harbours. The view is also remarkable for those simply accompanying climbers.

A great place to climb the rock with proper gear. You can also climb the mountain and do many loops of varying lengths.

The owners are two unique Swiss characters, including a super tame wolf! The place is one of a kind, and the view is reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast ;-)) The ham and cheese toast was absolutely delicious!!! The ice-cold beer was so inviting. The espresso was amazing!!! New and short via ferrata, but very "rocky" with few artificial holds. It's fairly simple and suitable for novices. It can be climbed from both sides. Nice.
