While walking along the ramparts, we stopped because it was one of the few places with a lot of people.
We only understood why during our wonderful experience.

This is my third year in a row dining at the Mirador restaurant, and I'm sad to say that the quality of the food has significantly declined. The one in the photo is a raw shellfish linguine, but it was cooked and unfortunately only had four tiny shellfish on top, and the meat was practically invisible. When I pointed this out to the manager, he approved of the lack of shellfish on my plate. Why? It's a shame, because the food was the best in all of Alghero. I'm confident it will improve and will probably return next year.
We just had a drink, a limoncello mojito. As a bonus, the afternoon price was very reasonable for a cocktail! The waiter and manager were friendly.

If you want to enjoy the sunset from the Old Town's bastion while dining, you'll have to pay a bit more. However, the Mirador was still relatively inexpensive. The portions were large, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly.

The only flawless thing was the location: the bastions of Alghero.
Everything else felt run-down and... old.
