Absolutely fantastic pizza both gluten free and regular. The staff are so welcoming and thoughtful. We are visiting from Canada and this was the best pizza we have had! They even have gluten free beer. Bravo!!!!!!

The pizza is truly extraordinary: light, fluffy, and well-leavened dough, with just the right amount of crispiness. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and top-quality; you can really taste the difference from the first bite. The stringy mozzarella, flavorful tomato sauce, and generous yet well-balanced toppings make each pizza a masterpiece. The value for money is also excellent: generous portions and more than fair prices for the quality. Seven of us showed up on a Saturday evening without a reservation and during peak hours. We had a 40-minute wait, but we finally got a table. I'd been there before and knew the pizzas were excellent, but this time I wanted to try a first course (paccheri allo scoglio), and it was truly excellent. The portion was just right for what I was craving, but it might be a bit too small for those with a really hungry stomach. Service was quick and friendly, and prices were reasonable. The place is quite large, but it's very crowded, especially on a Saturday.

A word of warning: Mezzopieno's pizzas are always a guarantee, perhaps among the best in Molfetta. Top-quality ingredients, perfectly cooked—it's hard to find fault even if you tried. The problem, unfortunately, is the service. Both my brother and I have not lived in Molfetta for years, and since we happened to be in town on the same day, we decided to order a pizza with our dad. Since we can contact the place via WhatsApp, we send a message with the order, confident that it has been read, as the contact information is permanently online. Any person who isn't chronically online, or simply busy or elderly, would send the message, put their phone aside for the rest of the day, and show up to place their order. Just to be on the safe side, since we hadn't received a response by late afternoon, I pass by the pizzeria during my rounds, and I'm taken aback. The young man at the counter informs me that they don't read WhatsApp and don't take reservations. My father would have had to show up and wait for it to be cooked, all punctuated by repeated "hehe"s every three words as if he were holding back a fit of laughter. I patiently explain that they're the ones who have that option enabled, and ask if he could at least write down the names and variations of the pizzas, because you can't expect a 60-year-old man who already has trouble reading the menu to remember everything. His response, as he wrote, was, "You said so, not me," as if to imply that my father was running late. That evening, both my brother and I cleared our other commitments to accompany our father for fear of him being bullied. As soon as he saw us all together, the boy stammered something about the service no longer being used (but, let's emphasize, still active) because THEY were losing too many orders between messages, probably not realizing they were giving bad publicity to the pizzeria. These pizzas were delivered to us, two of them with the boxes already cut in half, with the obvious result that the last one had been crushed by the other two and the boxes were covered in toppings. I can only imagine the joy of those who decide to eat at their villa or on the beach, placing the pizza on their lap! In the end, fortunately, the pizzas were even better than we remembered, but if customers are going to be ridiculed, I don't know how much quality can save them.
