A word of warning: Mezzopieno's pizzas are always a guarantee, perhaps among the best in Molfetta. Top-quality ingredients, perfectly cooked—it's hard to find fault even if you tried. The problem, unfortunately, is the service. Both my brother and I have not lived in Molfetta for years, and since we happened to be in town on the same day, we decided to order a pizza with our dad. Since we can contact the place via WhatsApp, we send a message with the order, confident that it has been read, as the contact information is permanently online. Any person who isn't chronically online, or simply busy or elderly, would send the message, put their phone aside for the rest of the day, and show up to place their order. Just to be on the safe side, since we hadn't received a response by late afternoon, I pass by the pizzeria during my rounds, and I'm taken aback. The young man at the counter informs me that they don't read WhatsApp and don't take reservations. My father would have had to show up and wait for it to be cooked, all punctuated by repeated "hehe"s every three words as if he were holding back a fit of laughter. I patiently explain that they're the ones who have that option enabled, and ask if he could at least write down the names and variations of the pizzas, because you can't expect a 60-year-old man who already has trouble reading the menu to remember everything. His response, as he wrote, was, "You said so, not me," as if to imply that my father was running late. That evening, both my brother and I cleared our other commitments to accompany our father for fear of him being bullied. As soon as he saw us all together, the boy stammered something about the service no longer being used (but, let's emphasize, still active) because THEY were losing too many orders between messages, probably not realizing they were giving bad publicity to the pizzeria. These pizzas were delivered to us, two of them with the boxes already cut in half, with the obvious result that the last one had been crushed by the other two and the boxes were covered in toppings. I can only imagine the joy of those who decide to eat at their villa or on the beach, placing the pizza on their lap! In the end, fortunately, the pizzas were even better than we remembered, but if customers are going to be ridiculed, I don't know how much quality can save them.

Excellent pizza with a high crust and good prices

A wonderful experience at Mezzopieno in Molfetta. I want to extend a special thank you to Antonio, the waiter who accompanied us throughout the dinner with an attentive, prompt, and always smiling presence. He was welcoming from the start, available to answer any questions, and incredibly professional when it came to replacing a dish I didn't like, immediately offering a solution that made me feel completely satisfied. I'm increasingly convinced that a restaurant's success is made by its people, and Antonio is proof of this: he puts love and care into a job that is anything but easy. A sincere thank you also to all the staff, because working with a smile and taking everyone's needs into account is not a given. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.

A truly positive experience. Excellent food, a lovely place, and incredibly friendly staff (special shout-out to the very friendly and knowledgeable young man who welcomed us and took our orders, whose name, unfortunately, we don't know). We had an exceptional appetizer and first course, including one gluten-free one. It's heaven for celiacs. The pizza was delicious, too. What can I say...a well-deserved five stars.
