Finally, a restaurant worth going out to eat at!!! My partner and I had been trying to book a reservation for a while, but since there were only a few seats, it was always packed. We finally made it, and today we were able to enjoy this unforgettable culinary experience. Everything was truly wonderful, from the welcome, to the homemade pasta, to the amazingly balanced main courses, and the truly fantastic dessert!!! The bill was also fair, but believe me, that's just a small detail... truly, congratulations! ❤️

We ate at Memé Hosteria because we were looking for a restaurant in Acilia. It was a great find. It's a young restaurant, having only been open for six years (despite the challenges of Covid), according to the manager, who immediately made himself very available with a kind and friendly approach. Although you might not know it from the outside, the restaurant is very well-kept and welcoming. The staff is friendly, helpful, and discreet. The atmosphere is pleasant, with jazz music playing in the background at a moderately low volume, allowing for conversation at the table. The place is small (12 tables for about 30 seats) but not at all noisy. We were greeted with a light and tasty entrée (a mozzarella soufflé with tomato sauce and basil). The menu offers typical Roman dishes, as well as seasonal ones; in fact, we wanted to try the Roman-style artichoke, but it wasn't available because it's not in season. Even though we couldn't eat the artichoke, we appreciated the attention to the quality of the products and the dishes offered. We tried the baked potato and escarole, which was excellent as an appetizer (shared by two). We ordered two first courses: mezzé paccheri alla norma (with eggplant, fresh tomatoes, and salted ricotta) and bucatini alla amatriciana; both dishes were very good, the pasta was excellent and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, both the pasta and the sauce. Pros: Very welcoming, very helpful staff, attention to detail (for example, the bread was served in a cloth basket (and not a paper bag as is often the case in more well-known restaurants); quality products, a welcoming atmosphere, generous portions. Improvable points: Exterior appearance, paper napkins and placemats. Please note that the restaurant is located on a main road through a residential area and does not have its own parking area, so you may need to park nearby and walk a short distance. Highly recommended for those who want to try traditional dishes with a focus on quality in a welcoming atmosphere, as well as excellent mezzé paccheri alla norma. 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, 2 first courses, a bottle of water, 2 table settings, and 2 coffees, for a total of €52. Fair.

An unexpected surprise: they agreed to serve dinner to my friend and I late at night. The gricia, flan, and dessert were excellent, as were the house wine and liqueur. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Everything was delicious, with a quality of cuisine you wouldn't expect from a neighborhood osteria. The wine list was small but interesting, with many excellent Lazio offerings. The service was provided by a friendly, approachable, yet highly professional family.

In the area for a sporting event and looking for a carb-load, I ordered a plate of matriciana and a plate of gricia at this restaurant. I'm not exaggerating when I say that both were the best I've ever eaten in Rome and the surrounding area. The restaurant is small, with limited seating, but it's well-maintained, clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and offer excellent value. Highly recommended.
