MEC Restaurant In Palermo

Original setting in the Mac museum, nice staff, but food was so-so. Ok appetizers, two fantastic entrees (the tomato dish was spectacular), but after that it went downhill... Main dish was not consistent, and dessert and sweet treats were bland.

A very nice place for an interesting dinner. We chose the tasting menu. Interesting wine pairings and pleasant service. Everything, except for the lamb, was really good. We'd be happy to go back. Be sure to make a reservation!

I’ve eaten at a lot of Michelin restaurants but this one was absolutely astonishing. Food, quality, service is on 3 star Michelin level. Probably the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Highly recommend when coming to Sicily

We celebrated our anniversary at MEC by choosing the "Contaminazioni" tasting menu, a true sensory journey through technique, creativity, and emotion. Each course—from the refined appetizers to the surprising first course, the intense main course, and the perfectly balanced dessert—was a crescendo of flavor and harmony. What made the evening truly special was the wait staff: friendly, attentive, and professional, attentive and welcoming, always ready to guide us with discretion and warmth. A unique experience that we will cherish for a long time to come.

Simply put, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to!

Located in a more splendid monumental Palermo, inside a sixteenth-century palace almost opposite the magnificent Cathedral, Palazzo Castrone, is MEC Restaurant. We find a wonderful blend of scientific, technological, and food and wine culture. You pass through a commemorative museum filled with vintage artifacts, books, and surrounded by photographs from his personal collection, which trace the professional career of computer genius Steve Jobs. The culinary masterpiece is in the hands of a young chef, Carmelo Trentacosti, with a remarkable career path (I personally know him from his years at the Couvee de Jour at Villa Igea), through which studies and research have led him, after many sacrifices, to his coveted position. MICHELIN STAR An elegant menu of dishes and subtle flavors, never overdone, highlights a unique refinement, a casual, contemporary touch, yet also deeply rooted in Sicilian tradition. A comprehensive wine list, truly a tome. The service and welcome are impeccable and chic, always in line with the contextualized mood of the Star.

A culinary experience not to be missed. The service was courteous and impeccable. I tried the Contaminazioni tasting menu. The selection of artisanal breads is spectacular, the dishes are visually exquisite and flavorful, delicate and intense. The venue is beautiful, with computer and technological exhibits on display. The atmosphere is serene and relaxing, making for an unforgettable evening.

It was one of the worst experience in a Mechlin star restaurant. Cold atmosphere, it seems stuff doesn’t care about clients. They don’t make your serviette. The toilet is terrible. The cheese plate was bad because they don’t keep most of the cheese right and it tastes like old from the fridge. I really don’t understand why they have a star. Oh, and by the way, don’t order Bellini cocktail, they don’t know how to make it.
