Let me start by saying that I'm a huge food and cooking enthusiast, and very critical of both my own and others' cooking: the welcome was superb. Martina was adorable, both on the phone and on-site, and the entire staff was truly friendly and super professional! Special praise also goes to the sommelier: highly knowledgeable, friendly, and never pretentious.
The food was incredible, with a special mention for the fried tripe and the best breaded steak I've ever had—even grandmothers couldn't match it (they won't read us anyway!).

It was my first time here, brought by friends. The quality was top-notch, and the atmosphere was beautiful and very unpretentious, yet still a place suitable for elegant dinners. You can tell the care and attention went into the music, which is as personal and interesting as the food. We had a bit of everything, but what I loved most were the campidanese-style wheels, the roasted lettuce (a surprising vegetarian dish!), and the breaded fetta. Wonderful desserts. And a lovely chat with the owners.
An experience to be repeated as soon as possible.

After 4 days in Rome, we were craving something different (pasta carbonara or Roman-style tripe) and we got exactly what we were looking for! All for a very reasonable price and with a good selection of wines.

I visited Mazzo on 21st March 2025 and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We began with a great meal in the main restaurant, where the food was very good and clearly made with care.
After dinner, we moved to a smaller table for drinks and dessert, which turned into a really fun and relaxed part of the evening. It’s a great setup that lets you enjoy both a proper meal and a more casual, social atmosphere in one night.
The service throughout was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special.
I’ve been recommending this place to friends ever since, and it’s always on my list of must-visit spots whenever someone is heading to Rome.

Mediocre experience: extremely long waits. We arrived at 9:30 PM and left at 11:45 PM, having only eaten an appetizer and a first course, with an hour-long wait between the two courses.
No double check at the table to make sure everything was okay or if we wanted anything else to drink. Service-wise, it was decidedly inadequate.
The food was good, but the chef got a little over-the-top with the salt. In any case, it's definitely not worth the high price.

Delicious food! I especially recommend the roasted lettuce (surprise banger) and toast with cauliflower. The chocolate mousse should not be missed. Servers were all really helpful. Vibe is very cool inside and they played great music.

Roman cuisine, yet refined. Strong, bold flavors, a well-chosen, contemporary wine selection. The atmosphere is pleasant (the room at the back, where the record player is located, is better, in my opinion). The layout and use of space make it feel like you're abroad (tables spaced far apart and designer pieces), yet it's still firmly rooted in Italian culinary tradition. Highly recommended! PS: Try the fried tripe with tomato, pecorino cheese, pepper, and mint!

I've been there twice. The food is very good, and the menu changes frequently. The no-show reservation policy is a bit absurd.
