Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I had an arancini with butter and béchamel sauce with a hint of acidity, mediocre ham, and the rice was a mush, overcooked, and highly inadvisable. It's a shame because the pastries are delicious, but the rotisserie doesn't live up to the bar's reputation. Too bad.

This little gem was our to go destination for food second year in a row. Food delicious, sweets to die for, ice-cream the best all at very reasonable prices. Simona is our english speaking angel. Will be back anytime I am in that part of Sicily.

Siamo stati in vacanza in questo paese e il bar Maxim è stata una tappa multipla. Ci siamo stati per colazione (brioches di tutti i tipi), per pranzo (piatti ottimi ed abbondanti), per merenda (gelato e granite top). Consiglio in qualsiasi occasione della giornata.

30/10/2025: Family dinner with our children. We weren't served at the same time, especially our youngest, who waited a good five minutes longer than the adults before getting his meal. The same thing happened with dessert (we wondered if they'd forgotten him because we had to ask for it again). The owner stayed home watching a football match on his phone while the two young waiters were doing their jobs. Why didn't he just stay home and watch the game on TV? Not even a "good evening" or "goodbye" to the customers! It's a shame because we enjoyed the food. I felt a lack of professionalism and politeness in this restaurant, values ​​that seem essential to me when working in the restaurant industry!
