Trattoria Morgana In Roma

Trattoria opposite the Brancaccio Theater. We had to wait for the show to start, so instead of the usual pizza or sandwich—it just doesn't exist! 😁—we opted for this trattoria. Honestly, we made a good choice. The food is truly good. We ordered two carbonaras, delicious with the crispy bacon, and the wild boar fettuccine was truly excellent. We were truly pleased with the waiter's friendliness: he was polite and professional, attentive to every detail, and the owner was incredibly kind. At the start of the meal, we were served a taste of Terni olive oil, which was truly delicious. What are you doing? Not mopping up the sauce? It's sacrilegious. In any case, if we have the opportunity, we'll definitely be back. Thank you for your kindness.

An authentic Roman restaurant with a select, ever-changing menu. The digital menu indicates when ingredients are frozen. The service was attentive and the food delicious. Reservations are recommended.

Absolutely delicious food. Owner seemed bit grumpy (doesn’t like tourists?) but the server we had was friendly. Would recommend the pappardelle al cinghiale and the steak with lardo

Excellent trattoria. The best carbonara I had in three days in Rome, not overly creamy. The beans with pork rind and pappardelle with white wild boar ragù were also excellent.

We expected something else after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures. The food was good and enjoyable, but we expected maybe some more choice and volume of the food. Service was fine they were kind. There were no menu cards but an QR code. So overall it was ok, but not the best we had.

Just steps from the Colosseum and Colle Oppio Park, the restaurant serves consistently well-prepared dishes, and the friendly staff knows how to make even tourists feel at home. There are only a few seats, which is a guarantee of quality and customer service. Reservations are recommended!

Excellent food. The best carbonara in Rome. The other dishes are all fantastic. A special mention for the polo with hummus.
