Pleasant and peaceful setting in the evening.
The staff is very welcoming and attentive. We were able to make ourselves understood in French. And especially, we got spaghetti carbonara, which wasn't on the menu.
Just a little disappointed with the ice cream given the price, but it was good.

Simple and very tasty dishes! A beautiful plate of tomatoes and buffalo with a drizzle of excellent pesto! A delicious and very light risotto! Homemade sweet notes (tiramisu!)

Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Gallipoli. It's small but very warm. The food is simply perfect. Ana is, without a doubt, the best chef in Italy. Everything we ate was excellent. Don't miss it. We tried bruschetta, pasta, tiramisu, and a pasticioto with ice cream. I highly recommend it.

The setting is pleasant; it's nice to have lunch in a peaceful place. The service is pleasant and efficient. We were a little disappointed by our dishes; the value for money wasn't great.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant by our hotel in Gallipoli, and we are grateful we took this up. Sat in the courtyard. Food was authentic and delicious. We were recommended a local red wine (amazing). Service was attentive. We really enjoyed a relaxing evening, eating great food and feeling like we had been looked after.

The food was excellent. We were staying in Otranto but made our way to Gallipoli for this restaurant. The first night we tried the vegan menu and the the pasta was the best we have had since being in Puglia. We enjoyed so much we booked to come back the next day for dinner.
Its family run and the waiter provided such good hospitality.

Sometimes you have to know how to get off the beaten track... venture into Gallipoli and come to the Matre Ristorante, great welcome, choice and homemade quality.
