Masseria Palombara is heaven in Puglia. We stayed there in March 26, the weather was rainy and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to settle down for a few days. The staff is incredibly warm and thoughtful and the place is absolutely gorgeous. The interior design, wether of the room or of communal spaces, is full of taste, largely done with second hand furnitures yet feeling modern, with a perfectly well managed lighting and fireplaces everywhere (even in the spa!) crackling from early morning to late at night. I loved that the room didn’t have a TV, it felt very relaxing. The gardens are also beautiful (and must be quite something in the summer). The spa is well equipped and beautifully integrated in the facilities. It’s truly a place where you can spend time and relax. I loved the breakfast (not another buffet, at last!), and we didn’t bother have diner anywhere else because the evening menu is just as delicious. It was hard to leave, we’ve been gone for a few hours and miss it already. I hope that you’ll have a lovely stay there.

There are experiences that define your day, others your stay, and some your life. Palombara belongs to this last category. Everything about it is memorable: - the quality of the service - the kindness and warm energy of the staff - the beauty of the setting - the quality of the restaurant - the spa, perfectly equipped and nestled in a magnificent setting that blends seamlessly with the rest of the property. Finally, what stands out most is that everything is done to make you feel at home, and they succeed. Once settled in, it becomes very difficult to leave the Masseria. We had to resign ourselves to it, with a heavy heart.

This place is just beyond everything you have seen. So much love has putten into the food, the ambiance, all details are on point. It feels like a huge and beautiful living room and you are a family member at that moment. We have been coming back to Masseria Palombara for 7 years and will be back as soon as we can.

We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary with a trip through parts of Italy we had never explored, and in November—well outside typical tourist season—many places were closed. After leaving Sicily, taking a ferry, and driving more than six hours, we stumbled upon the most incredible surprise: Masseria Palombara Relais & Spa. It was 8 PM when we called, hoping they might have a room. Francesca, the General Manager, answered immediately and could not have been more gracious or accommodating. She welcomed us as though she’d been expecting us all along. Within minutes of arriving, we were given a nighttime tour of the property, followed by an unforgettable farm-to-table dinner—authentic, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. Our room was equally special: spacious, beautifully designed, and complete with a lovely working fireplace. Owner Angelo Lippolis and his wife transformed this property into a remarkable adults-only retreat—romantic, serene, and full of character. A special thank-you to Francesca and to Blue, the resident dog, for making us feel so at home. What was meant to be a single night’s stay quickly became three unforgettable ones. As much as we’d love to keep this hidden gem to ourselves, it deserves to be discovered by travellers who appreciate charm, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality. Masseria Palombara Relais & Spa has so much to offer—and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed for one night in this beautiful Masseria, and what can I say? Everything was impeccable, from the service to the attention to detail. The fireplaces adorning every single room are stunning. The welcome was warm and attentive. I felt pampered from the moment I stepped inside. The food was top-notch, and the breakfast was magnificent, plentiful with both sweet and savory options. In short, an unforgettable stay. Last but not least, the splendid two-hour spa immerses you in a magical world of pampering and relaxation. My rating is 5 stars for everything. An experience worth repeating to fully enjoy the property's many amenities!

Loved our stay here! The staff truly made it special — Fabio, Pasquale, Ishmael at dinner, the ladies at breakfast, and Sara and Francesca at check-in were all wonderful. The food was incredible from start to finish: a generous breakfast spread each morning with excellent coffee, fresh juices, homemade cakes, cookies, and jams that changed daily, and a hot savory option each day. Dinners on the terrace were magical — a smaller menu but exceptionally high quality with their homemade bread and olive oil — and the weekly pizza night was honestly the best pizza we had on our entire trip. The property itself is expansive, rustic, and beautiful with two pools, (we wish it had been warm enough outside to use them!), a spa, bikes to ride around, and even an outdoor cinema. The atmosphere was relaxed but elegant, with music and delicious drinks at the bar each night, served with homemade taralli and other snacks. Also really appreciated their sustainability efforts — salvaged and restored furniture, homegrown vegetables, and the care that clearly goes into everything. The owner, Angelo, and his adorable dog added a personal, welcoming touch. Our room was spotless and well-stocked; we had a small issue with our original room and they very kindly upgraded us to suite in another building for the four nights of our stay. All in all, a really wonderful stay — warm, genuine hospitality and a place we’d return to.

The property is nestled in a large, well-maintained green area composed of several finely renovated buildings, preserving the original character of the place. The staff is all qualified, professional, and attentive to the needs of the guests. The tranquility and silence are the strengths of the place. I recommend leaving your watch and cell phones outside to fully enjoy the moments of relaxation that await you. The staff pampered us throughout, from our arrival through the spa experience and aperitif cocktail, not to mention the dinner that concluded a wonderful evening. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. If you want to unplug from a life that has become too fast, Masseria Palombara is the right place.
