Mascherpa In Milano

Tasty, but not worth a special trip. The classic tiramisu is okay, the fruit is very average. The cream is more like a cake topping than a classic tiramisu.

We visited Mascherpa in Milan and it ended up being our favourite café stop in the whole city. The classic tiramisu was absolutely amazing — light, creamy, perfectly balanced and seriously moreish. We also tried their summer special, an iced espresso drink with bergamot, which was super refreshing and a really nice twist on a coffee. The filter coffee was great as well — clean and clearly made with care. The highlight, though, was Michelangelo, the barista. He was genuinely lovely — friendly, passionate, and just great to talk to. He helped us choose some beans to take home as a souvenir, which was such a nice touch. We also picked up one of their tote bags, which kind of completed the whole experience. Such a great spot — would 100% recommend if you’re in Milan.

We had an incredible experience at this spot! The coffee was absolutely delicious, but what truly set it apart was the service. The barista was a total professional, incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely charming. They even went out of their way with a very sweet gesture that made our visit extra special. We need more places like this! If we ever find ourselves back in Milan, we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

We got the original tiramisu. The cream part is delicious, however as you can see from the photos, the cake part is not wet with coffee at all. From the color, I guess it is coffee flavoured cake and dry. it is absolutely not soaked in coffee. It is too dry and you do not get the taste of coffee at all. On our first bite my friend said “Something is missing? But I cannot figure out” and the answer is coffee. Coffee is the missing ingredient of this Tiramisu.

While it may not be the traditional tiramisu, it was still quite enjoyable. The coffee was excellent, and the service provided by the gentleman was very kind.
