A historic restaurant in Gaeta, every time you go on a trip, you eat at Masaniello. The fish is incredibly fresh, the service is impeccable, and the prices are affordable.

I came here by chance, I was traveling for work. I ate well, serving traditional local dishes. The staff is courteous, and the atmosphere is dated but still quaint and clean. I recommend it.

I had high expectations for the "votapiatto" (a dish of pasta), but the linguine with clams was among the best I've ever eaten! Truly delicious, just the right amount of spicy, and with a creamy sauce that made you want to mop up the sauce with the bread. The place is small, so we preferred to sit inside, but there are also tables outside. The staff was attentive and courteous.

Recommended by people who live in Gaeta, we went there on a Saturday evening and this must be the problem, you should never go to a restaurant on a Saturday, however, a good restaurant and certainly with good food too, unfortunately the staff was a bit..... Stressed.

08/12/2025: Nice restaurant on the Pontina in Terracina. The food is good and the staff is kind and helpful. 😊 As a place, it's quite elegant, but not too formal or pretentious. Perfect for when you want to eat fish without spending a lot. I recommend the mussel sauté and the fried seafood, which I chose😍😍😍😋😋😋. For those who aren't afraid of bones, there's also the fish soup, which my dad had. I've only tried something... that doesn't have bones😅: a few clams, a couple of mussels, and a couple of pieces of squid. And it's good😋.
