We ate out as we hadn't booked. A place from the past century with waiters who serve you because they are doing you a favor, but the best spaghetti allo scoglio I've ever eaten. Compliments to the chef and his wife who is very kind.

This place was recommended to us by a local resident. The restaurant is tucked away from tourists, the inside is very simple, the design is a little dated - all signs that this is a great place to eat that doesn't need tables to attract tourists. On the advice of a friend, we ordered the local dish votopiatto, fried small squid, very tender and tasty. Sauteed mussels, small octopuses in sauce - everything was perfect. We will definitely return there! Prices correspond to the location.

Ristorante con cucina tradizionale e piatti abbondanti da scegliere principalmente x il pesce fresco e cucinato bene. Esterno su piazzetta silenziosa e caratteristica da preferire alla sala interna un po démodé.
Da non perdere la famosa votapiatto.
Prezzi nella norma, servizio gentile.

Historic restaurant in Gaeta, non-panoramic location, in an alley, small internal room with too many tables, so prefer outdoor tables when possible. Approximate table service, no waiter in the evening, not very friendly and polite, and without even a smile it doesn't create the right mood in customers, on the contrary. The atmosphere and climate in the room were a little heavy and nervousness on the part of the staff. Sufficient food, classic plating. Dishes, unfortunately, excessively seasoned with oil, both the starters and the first course. Simple wine list, mainly local wines and classic labels. Average prices, fair bill. Should we go back? Perhaps, but not in the short term and above all by trusting in improvements. Good work

Really excellent food and average prices. I absolutely recommend the squid cooked in a dish.
The only flaw is the service: we waited over half an hour to order, even though we had booked. The staff seemed quite rude.
