Marzapane In Roma

Wonderful breakfast in the heart of Rome. My friends and I felt pampered by the simply excellent service. The woman who served us (we didn't ask her name; she had dark hair and a few tattoos) was incredibly kind and friendly. The lemon special of the month is highly recommended.

A place inflated by hype and by that whole crowd of people who gravitate towards the scene, and for whom cool, contemporary communication is enough to establish the place's quality. Too bad. I was there for Sunday brunch. The leavened goods are unnecessarily expensive: the cinnamon roll, for one, was dry, full of sugar, light years away from the Scandi versions, but also from the good ones you can find in the city these days (rip Marigold). The waitress who served us was very aggressive, annoyed, and out of place given the price charged for each dish. The pastrami bagel is good, but essentially contains a thin slice of pastrami. I don't expect Katz's, but... the rye bread with egg and salmon is very disappointing. The bread is tall and spongy—which rye shouldn't be—completely soaked in egg. When we asked for a long coffee, we were served a single espresso in a large cup. A bit of a joke, I'd say. All very normal, but the cost and fame of the place would require much more. We're getting used to settling for nice advertising that only makes up for the quality of the places, while perhaps less pompous but top-quality restaurants and bakeries are closing down.

Perfect breakfast, friendly and polite staff. The puff pastry, although difficult to choose, was my favorite memory!

Quick brunch. I tried the omelet and a glass of juice. €12 and €5. The omelet is served with bread and salad: the omelet was good; the salad was the bagged kind, practically unseasoned with just a few seeds thrown on top; the bread was a slice of toasted sandwich bread, as dry as I don't know what. Top, great job 👍🏼

It’s a nice cafe and lovely location , the women as the hostess was so nice and friendly but when I went upstairs a man and women were laughing, and acted rude when I asked where is the bathroom. I don’t want to cause trouble but just help you select your staff better . But as a the place , I recommend

Capuccino was ok, veggie bagel very tasty!

We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and didn't find any lines or anything. Upon entering, they immediately seated us at the tables upstairs... It's a shame because we didn't see the pastry and brioche stand at the end of the corridor. Once seated, we were greeted by very smiling waiters who offered us water (for a fee). The food was very good, but it was a shame about the drinks: the cappuccinos and coffees weren't great. It's a place we'll return to, perhaps to try something different, but no coffee next time.

Really nice coffee here. Staff were friendly and nice and the price was brilliant too.
