Superb! The food was delicious, the service impeccable, everyone was very kind.

Top-notch cuisine, top-notch service. We were with our little wolf, who, despite his talent, we realize is a bit cumbersome, but the Marsalino staff welcomed us without any problems, making a quick lunch a truly enjoyable experience. Thanks again, also from our little wolf ;)

We were looking for a typical restaurant that exudes Italian atmosphere and, above all, its cuisine. We were absolutely not disappointed by Marsalino, a small restaurant where we received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The two waiters were delightful and very cheerful. As for the food, the ravioli with gorgonzola were delicious, as were the ones with walnuts. I highly recommend it!

The food was good but coctails not so much

I was able to get a table without any wait time. The staff is very kind, polite and friendly. The vibe inside bistro is quite energetic and positive especially due to the music choice. You get bread with cheese and tomato sauce on the house as a starter. I ordered truffle mortadella and tagliatelle with ragu and both were delicious. I highly recommend going there for a nice casual dinner. The menu is in Italian, I’ve attached an image and chatGPT gives a really good translated version. The only annoying part was that you cannot tip the waiter when you pay with the card 😔

We had dinner on our first night in Bologna on the recommendation of a friend. The service we received from Guido was friendly, warm and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and wine list is thoughtfully curated. We enjoyed so much that we came back for a second time during our short visit. We were lucky to be waited on by Guido again who directed us to some dishes that we didn’t try during our last visit and helped us select wine that we hadn’t previously tried. It was another great experience.

Based on a true story: Massimino invites us to meet at Marsalino. Mario (who hadn't heard of it) is immediately enthusiastic and, without asking too many questions, can already imagine a selection of Marsala wines, and a wide-eyed smile appears on his face. Once we arrive there, on Via Marsala, the disappointment on his face is more than evident: in our minds, the connection between the street name and the place is now obvious! While waiting for the aforementioned Massimino, we sit on the wall in front, pondering what to do. Then he appears: the owner! From afar, his friendliness and a certain familiarity strike us, so we decide to sit down and start drinking! However, David welcomes us, equally friendly and with a charming and distinct Spanish accent! We order a mixed platter, a few drinks, and above all, David recommends a very cold bottle of water, showing concern for our skin's hydration: a reason why we can't refuse his advice. Once the platter was finished, another round of drinks, and of course, more water WITH GAS (yes, we've started speaking Spanish with David!), and the description of the desserts at the next table caught our attention: we were curious and still not satisfied. The dessert menu arrived, but the surprise was different: Marsala was actually there! Mario's smile was back (no doubt helped by the excellent drinks!), and that certain something familiar formed a concrete image in his mind: Jeff Ament from Pearl Jam ("that's who the owner looks like"). The desserts were delicious, reminding us of some of the flavors of our childhood, and the compliment to the cuisine was deserved; hence the 5-star rating for the food! We now feel like we're at a friend's house, but the bill has arrived for us too: a very fair price and another drink with friends to say hello to the entire staff! If you happen to be passing through Bologna, don't miss this truly welcoming place!
