This restaurant is located in the central square of Mazara del Vallo, just steps from the Dancing Satyr Museum. The elegantly furnished restaurant offers a culinary journey of excellent quality and locally sourced ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

A great discovery and experience at ControCorrente. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Top-quality food and reasonable prices. We had the best spaghetti with shrimp bisque. Highly recommended!

Best restaurant I ate at during my vacation in Sicily, the produce is simply exceptional. Every dish is prepared with love; the tartare is delicious, the red prawns tasted of the sea, and the spaghetti with prawn bisque is one of the best dishes I've ever had. Impeccable service! EXCEPTIONAL

We were disappointed. The portions were small. One of the pasta dishes was not really cooked. We had to pay 3 Euro coperto per person, also for the children. The fish and seafood were very fresh. The service were friendly but could not guide us to a good wine in english. The location of this restaurant is of course very good, right in the city centre.

03/11/2025: The owner is incredibly nice, originally from San Vito. Great music! And the food was absolutely delicious! We had red tuna, octopus, potato wedges with chicken slices, and busiate. We especially loved the busiate and the red tuna! You absolutely have to try them!

21/10/2025: The real deal! This is the type of small local restaurant we were expecting to find all around Sicily but you really have to search outside the main tourist area. It is very simple, but everything is fresh and freshly prepared from the fish you select from the giant tray the waiter brings around, to the just baked bread (not reheated) to the homemade pastas. You will be sitting in a real neighborhood with Italians and the waiter won’t speak English but the menu is translated. If you are a foodie this is the place you’ve been looking for. Prices great and you’ll wait a bit for the food-always a good sign that’s it’s not reheated. The night before we ate at a 3x more expensive place and the fish was not only frozen but overcooked.
