The food is excellent, and the staff is truly helpful, despite being extremely busy, given the crowds. The veranda is very bright, but the interior, where we had lunch, is a bit dark. The atmosphere has a slightly retro feel, full of dated or antique items, but it's pleasant and appropriate. The menu offers a wide selection, including typical local dishes, some of which are truly hard to find locally. Highly recommended!

Top restaurant...exquisite cheeses

A unique experience! After an initial skepticism, given the road along the Po River, my first surprise was the large parking lot. I thought, "So much care for an osteria!" I don't know why I was convinced it was an osteria. I enter the outdoor area and am already struck by the "strange" atmosphere, like an ancient, elegant, yet familiar place. Two steps up, the wooden door closed. I open it and am momentarily taken aback. I think to myself, "Where am I entering? Another world? Another dimension?" Dim lights, candlelight, the gentle greeting of the person who welcomes you and leads you to your table... Wooooow, I'm in a fairytale! Appetizer of cold cuts and cheeses... While I wait, they bring me a pumpkin puree, with almond flakes and crostini... Aside from the presentation of the dish, which looks like it could be seen in a food magazine, what did my palate experience? Delicacy (I don't use pumpkin in my dishes). The cured meats arrive, sliced ​​in front of me, a piece of crispy polenta, with the cheese plate and two compotes, one definitely onion, the other green. I foolishly didn't ask what it was made of, sublime... They accompanied the flavor of the five pieces of cheese, from the most intense yet delicate to the most savory, an explosion of flavors. First course: risotto with goat's milk robiola cheese and honey, ricotta and spinach cannelloni in a Piedmontese toma fondue... Nothing, indescribable, you have to try them. The delicacy of the risotto and the intensity of the cannelloni, I can't find the right words to describe the pleasure I felt! Dessert, I don't remember the names exactly, so forgive me if I'm not precise. Chestnut soup with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, strawberry grape sorbet, chocolate cake, and Piedmontese cremino. I've never eaten anything like it. Every course, from appetizer to dessert, was an explosion of flavor and pleasure, of delicacy and intensity, of color and nature. I'll be back, I'll be back every time I return to Italy.

Old-fashioned place with spectacular cheeses

A warm and welcoming place with a retro feel that feels like home. Excellent food and a wine list you can get lost in. And how could we not mention the cheese selection...a feast for the eyes. The service was attentive and thoughtful. We really enjoyed our stay, we'll be back!
