Great small local pasta restaurant run by locals with delicious food and friendly couple that are running it. Portions are generous too. Only thing that might be problematic is squatter toilets.

The food was excellent! Homemade-style pasta. The wine (Merlot) was good, as was the limoncello. A biodegradable straw instead of the antiquated plastic one would have been nice. Therefore, two minor deductions are made for the plastic straw and the outdated toilet.

We were wandering around Trieste looking for a restaurant and this place appeared before us. I still consider myself lucky to have been there! Excellent food, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent service! Definitely worth a try if you want quality food at a fair price!

14/04/2026: Depends on ice cream type, if you have stracatella its perfect, pisstacio or nuttela is from machine and not very nice
