Everything was delicious, in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. The owner is clearly passionate about his work, quality meat, and cuisine, and this is reflected in the dishes: surprising choices, far beyond expectations for a restaurant of this kind. The selection of organic wines is also excellent.
Unfortunately, the prices are decidedly high, especially considering the lack of table service, which is a real drag in a setting like this.
We ate really well, but the quality-price ratio seems unbalanced, not because of the quality of the food, which is high, but rather because of the lack of table service.

How wonderful. Five chefs who honor, indeed, extol, exceptional ingredients. The only problem is that every time I have to skip something... because I would literally order the entire menu. Smiles, a relaxed and informal atmosphere, yet super professional, even the carefully selected wines. Giuseppe is a master of taste. I love Macelleria Popolare

Macelleria Popolare is located in the market area on the Darsena, with the option of eating right there at the counter.
The kitchen is open to the public; you choose what you want and the chefs prepare it for you right there.
The chefs take care of every detail, a care you wouldn't expect from a butcher's shop.
I tried:
- Genovese sandwich: very soft bread, almost like a bao. Genovese wasn't bad, not as strong as I expected; I preferred it less watery.
- Messinese: good, no complaints.
The prices, however, are a bit "unpopular." €4 for the Messinese, which is a real bite, and €16 for the Genovese, with the sandwich being a bit small.
Probably justified by the location and the expertise of the staff involved.
I'd like to try something else and update the review.

Excellent meat, with the option of having it freshly cooked by the in-store chefs. Outdoor seating is available overlooking the dock. The marrow and bombette are particularly delicious. Highly recommended for both takeout and dining in.

High quality, high price (but only compared to the location), easy to give in to temptation, order a lot and leave happy but much lighter.

Although it's a butcher shop, you can grill and eat on the spot.
I tried something like an innards skewer.
It's similar to Japanese yakitori,
but Italian offal dishes are a little different.
Exploring these kinds of local ways of eating is what makes walking around Europe so interesting.

Excellent experience at Marcerie Popolare – Milan.
We tried the homemade tiramisu with artisanal mascarpone, and it was truly exceptional: creamy, fresh, and full of flavor.
The wine selection was also very good, well-chosen and perfect to accompany dessert.
A place where you can taste the quality of the products and the attention to detail. We'll definitely be back.
