We chose Macchianera for Valentine's Day dinner, trusting in the quality of the service and cuisine that we had always appreciated in our previous visits. However, this evening's experience proved to be significantly below expectations. The order was taken within an acceptable time, but the wait for the first courses was excessively long, even though they were the same for both. This delay is in no way justifiable by the confusion in the room, considering the standard of the venue and the price paid. Furthermore, the staff appeared distracted and did not pay attention to details, further compromising the quality of the service. In the past, I remembered a clearly superior care in the explanation of the dishes, with an attentive and precise service, capable of enhancing the gastronomic experience. This evening, unfortunately, this was not the case: the presentation was summary, lacking the professionalism that makes a dinner special. The kitchen, which on other occasions had stood out for its care and attention in preparations, did not shine this evening. Although the raw materials were of good quality, the dishes arrived with considerable delay and without the attention to detail that we expected. Paying 70 euros each implies impeccable service and a top-quality dinner, but unfortunately this was not the case. Despite having had much better experiences in the past, this dinner left us dissatisfied. The place has always maintained a certain standard, but this time we can't say the same. We hope it was an isolated incident, but under these conditions, we don't think we want to return.
